I unfortunately seem to be very tasty to Mozzies and bitey insects (They ignore my FI). I have given various pharmacy repellents a go before but most of them seem to be useless. Has anyone got any recommendations (even for natural remedies) which may help me with this?
Willing to try anything!

@PrincessIncognito: bookmarking because I have the same issue! I got 70+ mosquito bites on the first night of our honeymoon and I looked like I had chicken pox but Darling Husband had no bites!

@Ellegee: this is what I am afraid of! I also get loads of bites and then blow up like a balloon – not a good look for a newly wed trying her best to look sexy in a bikini!

@PrincessIncognito: I have “skeeter syndrom” where I’m highly allergic to mosquito bites… each bite swells up to larger than my palm and it’s super painful. I make sure I have Zyrtec or Claritin with me when I travel and I take it religiously every morning to counter the allergic reaction I get when I do get bitten. I also noticed that when I am heavily scented either with perfume or with a strongly scented body lotion (think of the ones from Victoria’s Secret or BBW) they don’t seem to “smell” me as much to bite. We bought the portable “Off!” fans when we travelled to Tahiti and used them when we were on Bora Bora but they didn’t have a ton of bugs when we were there.

Take B vitamins starting now. They make you less tasty.
Take an OTC allergy medicine, it tamps down the bite reaction.
Don’t drink beer, it makes you smell tastier.
And if all else fails… Avon’s Skin-so-soft.
