(Closed) TRIED ON DRESSES FOR THE FIRST TIME!!!! NOT AWFUL!!! gush and pic heavy

  • poll: which do you prefer on me?

Dress 1, the one in the pic is too small, imagination required!!!

Dress 2, at least a size too big in the pic.

Neither, i should go with something less curve hugging.

You’re a knock-out in the lace dress – I’m just imagining how it would look in the proper size. I’m glad you had such a great experience!

Okay, so I voted for the last option but I disagree with the second part of the wording,

I DO think you should get something “curve-hugging” because you have some nice curves to work, but the flare needs to start higher up on your body…probably closer to mid-thigh. I really like the fit-and-flare shape, I just think you have the really exaggerated version. Bring that flare up a little higher and you will be BANGIN’!

For what it’s worth, I don’t love the dresses from DB at all. They do nothing for your figure and I can see why you don’t like them.

I would encourage you to shop around a little until you get the shape down correctly. I wish you were in  MN because I could recommend a bridal shop that caters exclusively to Full Figured brides…maybe you can make a weekend trip up here?

Hmm, so here’s the deal. I also am not too crazy about the silhouette on you, but I am loving you in Satin ruching!  I voted for dress #2, but would love for you to try on more dresses!  I think fit and flares would look lovely on you!

If the choices were btwn the two, I’d say the second one with the ruching.  However, I think you should try on more dresses.  What about A-line dresses or a lace dress w/straps, I think that would look gorgeous on you. I feel that ruching is more for skinny girls who have no curves and that too much ruching may give more curves that you’d want.  I’d also say stick away from mermaid or trumpet dresses, it seems too top heavy from dress #1 and doesn’t seem proportional with your body.

I think they both are gorgeous dresses that look phenomental on you! By the way, when I saw your pictures, it was a little shocking because I just got my hair dyed the same color as yours, and we have about the same haircut. We are twins!

They both look great. I think I’m leaning towards #2. I see youre in Indy. Nancy’s Bridal up in Castleton has lots of Mori Lee dresses if you really like that designer and they’re super nice! I got my dress at Bridal Superstore in Castleton and they have a TON of dresses. Just FYI. : )

Im torn I like both the 1st and the 2nd dresses. Looking back again the 1st one in your size would look amazing because it already looks amazing even too small.

I like the silhouette of the Davids gowns, in fabric more like the first two gowns. I agree that maybe more of a trumpet or fit-n-flare/dropped waist would be better than the severe mermaid.
