(Closed) TRIED ON DRESSES FOR THE FIRST TIME!!!! NOT AWFUL!!! gush and pic heavy

  • poll: which do you prefer on me?

    Dress 1, the one in the pic is too small, imagination required!!!

    Dress 2, at least a size too big in the pic.

    Neither, i should go with something less curve hugging.

    I voted for dress #1. The A-lines actually look a little “meh” on you IMO, but curve-hugging is definitely where it’s at! The lace dress would look fantastic in the right size, though now I’m wondering if some PPs had a point in that a higher flare would balance you out a bit better than a mermaid. In any case, love the dress on you.

    These dresses are gorgeous. I think dress 2 looks better on your but perhaps a different material, have you tried a ball gown wedding dress type? I think you’d look great in that type of dress just my opinion.

    I’m in LOVE with the first dress!  Do you happen to remember the style number?

    @janetsnakehole:  I voted for dress 2. I LOVE the way the lace looks on you (and looks more classic), but i like the way #2 drapes around your body.

    @janetsnakehole:  Have you checked out the Casablanca line? You and I have very similar hourglass figures, and I ended up going with a lace, fitted Casablanca that I think would look AMAZING on you. You should check it out ๐Ÿ™‚

    @janetsnakehole:

    I don’t like the the first one very much, as I am not a fan of the drop waist. I think it always looks so “pinched” at a strange spot. That being said, I do like the second dress if you had to only choose between the two. But I’m not a fan of that one really either. (While both are lovely dresses, I think you can do better) You and I have a similiar shape- So I can sympathize with the ball gown robbing you of your shape. When I tried them I just looked like a blob with boobs. lol It wasn’t pretty. The second dress that Fivemonthsnotice has posted actually looks similiar to the dress that  have my heart on. Still shows off curves, but is more elegant than the harshness of the drop waist, and mermaid style. I love the sweetheart neckline on you though, and I am a huge fan of the ruching as well.

    Did you find the second dress on a website? Or just an internet search? It’s very pretty and I like it a lot, it looks a lot like the dress that I want to try on. Actually this one has more beading than the one that I have found.

    I agree with trying different silouettes. You look great in 1 and 2 but I dont think they are your dress. You have a great hourglass shape. The mermaid is not working it. But, between the two, def #1. #2 isnt as flatering. Keep us posted!
