My dress came in today, I was soooo excited! I tried it on and althought it technically “fits”, it is soooo tight and i look so “hippy” (not like groovy hippy lol). It gives me a great hourglass figure, but it gives me a little of a poochy belly. I got sooo upset:(. So basically im trying to figure out the healthiest way to drop 10-15 lbs. I obv know diet and excerise, but if anyone has sample diet plans they could give me it would be great. p,s im 160 lbs and 5’8. I want to get back down to 140-45

You have a whole year! Start with the fist rule – Don’t ever eat a portion bigger than your fist. It actually helps a lot. I generally am a finish everything off your plate kind of girl. But with the fist rule, I typically only eat 2/3 of what’s on my plate. That’s 1/3 of the fat/calories shaved off! You can always get your leftovers in a doggie bag and eat it for lunch the next day. Win-win!

Do you know about my fitness pal? Its an app/website (you can use both versions) for counting calories. AND IT’S FREE!!! You can set your timeline and weight goal and it is so easy to use! You should check it out. I’m like the same size as you now. I’m like 5′ 7.5″ though I started at 185 (I was looking pretty squishy at that weight :/) and am currently down to about 157. My goal is 145. I carry a lot of my weight in my but thighs and stomach so I feel your pain. I don’t look bad, but when I put on a dress that is fitted lower than my waist I can see problem areas.
You have plenty of time to make a change. It won’t be easy. When I cut my calories down to 1200 (from 1500) I felt very uncomfortable and had to train myself out of emotional eating. But once the pounds start falling of it feels amazing. Also do tons of cardio (walk, run, bike, swim, etc) since it helps burn fat and kick start your metabolism.
