Iv never posted on here before but iv stalked the boards for months now.
My soon to be fiance gave me the option to get my ring custom made and i jumped at the idea. Its been 3 months of driving myself INSANE researching rings, designs and specs on line. When i finally chose what i wanted and it was sent into the jewlers it was a week of utter torture. I thought of everything that could possibly go wrong but most of all i was worried that when i put it on i would be underwhelmed. (its a 0.90 carat Ring Bearer centre and i have a gigantic 8.5 size finger) In hindsight i was being stupid to worry about such trivial matters. I have someone who loves me unconditionally, who has put up with my crazy over the top worries, and i will end up with a beautiful item of jewlery that will symbolise our love for each other.
Needless to say it finally arrived and i got to try it on and im totally in LOVE. The surprising thing was the only thing that ran through my mind when i had it on was not about how big it looked in comparison to my hand size or how sparkly it was but how lucky i was to have the most amazing guy in this world love me. I guess thats what it should all be about (having a sparkly ring doesnt hurt :-)).
I reluctantly had to give it back, we are getting the ring duty free(yay for saving 15% of GST) and will pick it up from the airport on our way to FIJI for our week long holiday in a month. I sneakily took a photo while he wasnt looking. It was under the table and far away so its not the best but at least i have a little reminder while i wait 🙂

sydz: thats one beautiful ring! So sparkly. The wait is the worst! I had my e-ring made and it took a month! I felt like a kid on Christmas morning when it finally arrived. Then I took about 500 pics of it on my camera phone lol. Congrats though on such a gorgeous ring! Post more pics when you get it!

Im really lucky the jewler worked so quickly. We chose a very small privately owned diamond shop so their turn over is not that large. The ladies in the shop all loved it, its not a design they see very often. My experiences with the larger jewlery stores were horrible. Pushy sales people are the worst! I made my partner open the box first and have a look so i could see his reaction. Priceless moment
