I posted an ad on etsy.com for my “glam” invitations, that I couldn’t find anywhere for the right price. You might want to try that!

Whoops, I meant to say, they are customized to what you need and you will get bids and examples–then you get to choose from many different options.

I had the hardest time finding invites that matched our dark purple color (everything seemed to be lighter purple or the style was just not us.) Then I happened upon a post by Mrs.Cardigain on here talking about her custom invites. I e-mailed Steve, the designer, and he made us some fantastic ones that are specifically want we wanted in the perfect color, and he was very affordable too! feel free to message me if you’d like his contact info.

I too looked for royal blue invitations before our wedding last year. It’s true, very few of them were ACTUALLY royal blue, most were much darker.

There are a few to be had on line, but eventually, I just made my own. Royal blue has only been especially popular for the last few years, so it seems invitations etc are taking a while to catch up.

I was having an awful time finding the right blue that’s truly Royal.  Some cardstocks that were close are Bazzill Mediterranean, Wausau Blast-Off Blue, and I have another on order that’s called cerulean.  I found that if you’re really crafty you can airbrush paper that is close but not quite Royal with Golden Ultramarine mixed with airbrush medium.  I know that’s going to an extreme, but I was really happy with the results.

Folia paper in Ultramarine is perfect.

@melynn44:  i had a bit of a challenge looking for invites in my colour (fuchsia and black damask)  that i liked and wouldn’t break the budget.  i ended up getting a simple diy kit in black and white and i added ribbon in my colours.  they were perfect.

If your wedding hasn’t passed and you’re still looking, check out paperpresentations.com.  There are two colors: comet (matte) and silk blue (metallic).  They’re perfectly royal blue.
