What.  The.  Eff?

Your dress size is not abnormal, that seamstress is just a bitch.  No seamstress in their right mind would tell a bride to lose substantial weight, especially if the store already did their job by ordering the proper size.  Collect your dress and find a local seamstress who will give you the respectful treatment you deserve.

This is not normal.  How rude, I would call back and speak to a manager because that is absolutely inappropriate!

Oh goodness, I hope that I don’t have the same issues.

I am the same size as you, and my dress should be arriving sometime in the next month.

wow, how ridiculous. i’m sorry she was so rude to you. can you just take your dress from the shop and take it to an independent seamstress?  (that’s what i ended up doing, just for cost reasons, though)

14 def cant be uncommon. i’m a size 2/4 in  normal clothes and my wedding dress was an 8

Ummm. Wow. That was incredibly ride of her. Sounds like she just sucks as a seamstress if she can’t make a dress fit without the bride drastically altering herself

Find another shop. None of those things should have been said, and it was VERY rude and out of line.

PICK UP YOUR DRESS AND NEVER RETURN TO THEM EVER! that is rude no woman in their right mind would say that to a person planning a wedding which is stressful in its self..
