I thought I was set on a mermaid-style dress but EVERYTIME I look at dresses (I’ve been to so many stores) I always get giddy when I try on ball gowns. I love both styles and can’t make up my mind.
I feel like me and my fiance would both love the traditional ball gown look but everyone else LOVES the mermaid. And that lace trim on the mermaid is pretty much AMAZING.
Vote & comment please 🙂

I love the mermaid style so I may be biased BUT that mermaid looks absolutely STUNNING on you!!! The ballgown is really pretty too but the mermaid really shows off your body nicely.

Both are gorgeous on you. I prefer the mermaid but that’s just more my style. You have a great figure and you’ll look amazing in any silhouette

My two sense – you look gorgeous in both styles – and right now, mermaids are much more “in” than ballgowns – but just remember, you will probably never get another change to wear a ballgown, so if it’s what makes you happy then do it! You can always get a mermaid gown that isn’t a wedding dress to wear at some point in the future for a formal event 🙂 Good luck!

Those are 2 absolutely beautiful dresses! They both look stunning on you, but you have a gorgeous figure to show off the mermaid! I definitely think you should pick the one you like best though, as you will look beautiful in either of those styles.

I think you should get the ballgown. The mermaid stunning but if you feel special in the ball gown that is what matters most, and I think you look stunning in it also! I didn’t want a ballgown at all, then I tried it on and I felt like a bride. The others I felt good in but I just felt like a bride in the ballgown so ball gown it is!!!!

They both look great on you! I had this same problem, I have always wanted a mermaid, but the couple ball gowns I tried on really made me feel all giddy (Perfect word!) Just loved the feel of being in a ball gown.
I chose the mermaid because in the end I knew it was more “me”
I think the ballgown was just the inner fairytale princess from childhood kicking through.

I love the mermaid! you have the body to pull it off too! Both are simple and traditional but IMO the ball gown style always feel old fashioned and something at a beauty pageant while the mermaid is sexy but not too much.

I vote for the ballgown because you said you and you Fiance both like it better, plus I feel like mermaid dresses are so trendy right now that they have a higher probability of going out of style and looking silly 20 years from now. And, like smad11
mentioned, you may never get another chance to live out your ballgown fantasies! That being said, both look great on you!

Hands down the ballgown! So elegant! Both the material and design are gorgeous!!

Yout look stunning in both and I’m hard to please. I can see how this will be a hard pick. Ball gown for ceremony and mermaid for reception if you are a baller LOL

You look AMAZING in both! I voted ballgown though because you only get to wear one once really (unless you’re the queen) and you felt special in it.

We have very similar body types, and all I tried on was mermaid and A-line dresses as well since I thought that would be what would look best on my tall/slender frame. I’m also not that girly, so I always said “no ball gowns” when going to stores, but I saw ALlure 9103 on a mannaquin at a store and fell in love. Completely not what I ever pictured I’d wear, but I love it. The ball gown looks amazing on you!!

That ballgow is killer on you! I may also be partial to it becasue it reminds me of my dress. I totally agree though that you can’t go wrong with either!
