I have been having a really hard time going to bed at a reasonable time. I start work the same time every morning, and I just can’t seem to make myself go to bed sometimes. FH and I are in a LDR, so I don’t have him going to bed to get me to go too. Anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions? Thanks!
ETA- To clarify, I have no trouble sleeping. I just can’t make myself get into bed to go to sleep.

yes….i would have racing thoughts all night. i started taking melatonin. it def helps and its non habit forming.

YES. Right now in fact. I think for me it sometimes has to do with going to bed means having to wake up for work in the morning….and that sucks

@PitBulLover: I’ve told Darling Husband that. “If I sleep it means today is ending”. I don’t think he quite understands.
At OP…what worked for me was just making myself tired. I get up at 5am for work, so by 10pm I’m tired (my work is physical, so that helps). Going to the gym…walking the dog…that works to tire me out pretty good. I think a good nighttime ritual helps too (I’m still working on this)…just doing the same things in the same order every night so your body knows it’s time to sleep.

@soon2bhis: I really second the ritual. I do the same thing before I go to bed every night, and that can be anywhere from nine thirty to one in the morning. I would definitely reccommend it.

Same with me. I could be SOOOO tired but still not want to go to bed. I do agree w PitBullLover, it means another work day once you get up, so I am trying to lenghten my day. But the bad part w that is you get less sleep, and when I wake up in the morning I regret not going to bed at a reasonable time.

@MsPiggy: I already know I’m going to be regretting staying up this late tomorrow….and I plan on staying up for at least another 30 mins :-

What works best for me is to make some fun bedtime plans. Sadly, that is pretty much the only thing that can get me off memebase at 11pm.
