I think it’s justified to feel irritated.  You had to put all your money down, and you haven’t recieved the product even though you were told you would 5 days ago.  I do agree that she wouldn’t send you the proof if she wasn’t going to send you the product.  It sounds like she is behind and rather than admitting it and sending a quick e-mail, she’s just ignoring you.  I’m sure you will receive them soon.  If not, file a claim.

Can I ask you you were dealing with??  If she couldnt have done the work – like 10 invites couldnt possibly take that long, she should have told you up front.  NO EXCUSE!

I had a problem with a seller on Etsy and she created for me these cute bridal shower thank you cards.  Her primary business is digital work – so she will create you a PDF file and then email it to you and then its your responsiblilty to have them printed.  BUT she states that she will print them, too, for an extra charge.  So long story short, it was easier for me and cheaper to have her print them and then mail me everything.  Like week or more goes by and I dont hear anything from her, so I message her and she responds that she is picking up my order from her printer and then they will go out in the mail on Saturday.  So another week plus goes by and I still dont have anything….so I messaged her again and she told me that they were shipped, blah blah blah and that I would be credited back 30% of my order and she messaged me a digital file.  Unfortunately I couldnt use the file as I was leaving for our Destination Wedding in a day or two and didnt have time to worry about the shower thank you…..I finally got the box when I returned from our Destination Wedding and the USPS postage meter label indicated that they were shipped on 5/24 – they should have been shipped on 5/13.  I am irritated that she lied to me about it and as of today I have yet to receive my “discount/refund” (its not alot of money either – its more about the principal – so sadly when I get some time later today I am going to leave her negative feedback.  To add insult to injury I asked her to remove me from her email list, and she replied that when anyone purchases from her it states in her “policies” that you agree to sign up for her email….and the part that really got me is her shop is in Pittsburgh PA and I live on the opposite side of the state….there is NO way it should have taken 2 weeks from Pittsburgh to arrive.  

Sorry to vent on your post but you should definately complain to Etsy, Facebook, and file with the BBB, and post her business info on every wedding message board/wedding website possible!!!!  I would go out of my way to make her life miserable!!!

OMGosh, this sounds similar to seller I’m dealing with!! Prior to putting my deposit down, the communication was amazing! She was very quick to respond and answered all my questions. She too had very positive reviews so I decided to put a deposit down for Save-The-Date Cards. She was suppose to contact me for my info but she never did. I was able to find her direct website which had a form for customers to fill out. Three weeks had gone by with no response, I sent about 3 emails but still nothing! I finally tracked her down on FB and posted my experience FOR ALL TO SEE. Within minutes, I got an email apologizing and reassuring my design should be complete in a few days. This was Wednesday, I decided to give her another week and if I don’t hear back, i will file a claim and my next FB post won’t be as nice!

Good luck OP, I know personally if this doesn’t work out I’m just going to get something simple and go with Vistaprint.

@BOSOX11:  Wow! Thats horrible! In addition to filing a complaint with Etsy, you should also write a lengthy review for this seller to warn future customers! Good Luck!
