I agree.  I read the books and the show always had its own spin but this season is just not doing it for me so far.  I will admit that it sorta started to redeem itself after last week.  But I feel like alan ball has lost his mojo.

Nowhere NEAR as good as last season. I just do not CARE about Hotshot or the Mickens family!

Yea the whole Mickens thing just needs to be completely edited out.  I think this side of eric is adorable.  Im also not feeling debbie.  at all.

@MASPA:

Eric is the best character on that entire show. I loved when Sookie was acting all put out about “babysitting” him. I was like, I would babysit Eric. I would babysit Eric so hard.

I only discovered this show a few weeks ago and OMG i LOVE IT! I’m totally with Ohheavanlyday I’d babysite Eric for sure! LOL!

I’m only on episode 2 of season 4 so I’m not going to read the comments but i did see from the  OP that there are lots of story lines and its getting complicated. I LOVE complicated has anyone read the Song of Ice and Fire from which the HBO series Game of Thrones came from? Now thats complicated story telling!

If its getting complicated then I cannot wait to watch it!! Wooo!! 😀

Fiance is reading the game of throne books.  he tells me how complicated it is.  I love the show tho.

It’s just kinda “meh” for me at this point. I still love the show and I’ll watch it as long as it’s on but I feel like it’s missing something. I did think this week’s episode was better than the others but they still aren’t quite up to the previous seasons standards. Maybe (hopefully) they’re just off to a slow start and it will pick back up as the season progresses.

I love seeing lost Eric – I loved that in the book too, so I was setting myself up to enjoy it :).

The Mickens I could do without – I’m loosing interest, and I just don’t really care.

I do like the Hotshot though, even though I think Felton and Crystal are totally crazy and it’s super far from what it was in the book, but I like getting to see Jason try and figure things out. He has such a simple mind and I love his character trying to make it.

Oh, but I didn’t like Sookie having to be gone for a year, what was up with that? And Bill  being King? Whhhattttt?!

Ok I think that this season is by far the most weird. I agree I have lost some investment in the show… It doesnt seem like the storyline is as strong as it used to be. But I really do love Eric not knowing who he is. He has a nice kind of child like charm. I am really not liking much else as of right now and am so mad that sookie was gone for a year. and I hate the little fairy people lol

That being said I think there are going to be some crazy episodes ahead involving the witches. What do yall think of lafayettes boyfriend?
