My ceremony dress was a figure-hugging Lazaro trumpet with a full bottom..I actually removed some layers of the tulle because it was poofing a littletoo much. Picture below is before alterations.

My reception dress was a Romona Keveza a-line with a slim-skirt, but I added a very full crinoline which made the bottom full. (beach picture below)

I WAS going to wear pronovias Megan. It hugs your figure but the tulle is really flowy and swishes when you walk and has a full bottom… I loved that!

This is exactly what I want.  something nice and fitted on top all the way down to the hips but very full on the bottom; maybe with pick ups.  I dont even know how to ask for this in a bridal shop. romantic, sexy, princess?

These dresses remind me of last Friday’s SYTTD: Atlanta – – did any of you gals see it?  They had the most gorgeous dresses – I love these Atlanta episodes they have such great dresses – – Ok I am going off topic of OP….

My dress is fitted to a drop waist (or modified A-line) and then poofy at the bottom with ruffles!  It’s Maggie Sottero’s Jenna:

@jackie-o: They show my Lazaro at the beginning montage of SYTTD Atlanta! A girl steps on the pedestal wearing it. I got so excited when I saw it, lol. I’ve never seen it on anyone else. Now I’m hoping they’ll feature it on an actual episode – and hopefully not in the “ew, I hate this one!” sorta way. It may help me sell the dress 😀

@Aubergold: Depending on how low you want the poof to start, you can ask for drop-waisted ballgowns, or fit and flares.

Mine was pretty fitted to the mid-thigh… then it poufed out a bit.  I think I’d call it a trumpet fit?

u can make most trumpet/mermaid styles have a poofier bottom by just making the crinoline a little bigger…or adding more to it
