If your hair gets weighed down by the weight you’ll look AMAZING with a shorter cut. I have fine hair and had it down past the middle of my back, like you, for a long time. I loved all the things I could do with it but it always looked flat and I didn’t have a ton of volume (zero volume – it would look great right after I styled it and fall flat soon after when it was long). Honestly, you have a lovely shape to your face that is very versitile and YOUR FACE ISN’T TOO FAT FOR A SHORT CUT! You’re ADORABLE!

Funny enough, I showed that same picture to my stylist when I originally had all my hair chopped off. Now, without all that extra hair weighing it down, I have SO much volume and it’s now more manageable. We figured, if I hated it, it will always grow back. Why not shake things up now and again? ๐Ÿ™‚ You should do it! ๐Ÿ™‚ Here are my before an afters.

AH you`re so pretty! I vote to cut it off – it grows back. I cut a bunch of mine off about 6 weeks ago and it has grown already. Mine is also super thin but I have a lot of it!

You could add some highlights to it! I know someone on FB said not to dye it, I have heard it is totally fine to do highlites (because they do not touch your scalp directly) when PG.

@figgnewton:  Ughh. I hear you. I never understood how fine hair could feel like it weighed 92 lbs. ๐Ÿ™‚ The funny thing is that as much as I loved my long hair I now kinda want to keep it this short. It rarely tangles, styling it actually gives me volume (unlike when it was long), and some days I can actually say I have big hair – who woulda thunk? ๐Ÿ™‚ I think you should get a color while you’re at it! If you’re gonna change, go big. ๐Ÿ™‚ And definitely post an after pic so we can see how it came out.

A shorter cut will require more frequent salon visits to keep it looking great.

I really recommend finding a very good stylist (Yelp is a good place to start looking) who can take into account your height, frame, and personality to create a hairstyle that reflects who you are and looks great on you.

I have long hair, and have kept it that way for a number of years.  The very best stylists can cut a long hairstyle that moves and isn’t as-weighed-down by the weight of the hair.

I personally like you with longer hair; the shorter cut will emphasize the roundness in your face, which can be a good or a bad thing (depending on what you want to emphasize).

@figgnewton:  NO! Your face is NOT too fat! My face is way chunkier and I look fantastic with shorter hair. I was trying to let mine grow out, but mine is the same as yours. Really thin and limp. It just wasnt working. So last weekend I finally chopped it off and I feel like myself again!

    This was before

    And this is after

I’ve had my hair shorter than this before, too. And it also looked great. Just cause you have a chubby face, doesnt mean you have to hide it!

This is me with “long” hair. If it gets to where I can pull it into a pony tail I will. I have fine hair, but a lot of it and it doesn’t do anything!

(the day before I cut it all off was halloween, excuse the lady bug costume!)

And this is my hair currently. Yes I have a round face, but my hair lady cuts it so it doesn’t look as round.
