I want to try it on right now, but I’m afraid I might get it dirty or torn… 🙁
Do you girls go through this? After picking up the dress, having it sit inside your closet for months, how do you not go in and try it on over and over again??

I had my dress for several months before my wedding. I tried it all the time while Darling Husband was gone. I couldn’t resist it! Just try it on in a dust free, clean area! 🙂

My Fiance is currently in a different country and thank goodness my dress is at the bridal store, my veil in NYC and my wedding ring in Toronto. Otherwise, I’d totally be parading around the flat in all of them to ‘check whether it all works together’.
I’d say, get out of the house as much as possible and maybe put a lock on the zipper of your dress bag

Guilty! LOL! I always wear mine when my Fiance is gone… just to make sure “it still fits” LOL. I am getting my first alterations in December so its not goin gto be here anymore to tempt me. but I think it’s cute…

Whenever my mom is over I make her put it on me! That’s totally normal! Plus everytime I get new accessories to go with it, I HAVE to try it on to make sure I don’t need to return them. It helps you put the whole picture together. Last time I put it on I was deciding between 2 veils.

Mine was layng on a shelf in the closet for over a year! I think I tried it on twice at home before taking it to the seamstress. 🙂

My dress is at FI’s aunt’s house, otherwise it’d be on all of the time with Fiance isn’t home! His aunt is coming up and we’re going on a girl’s day and she’s bringing my dress though, it’s game on then! I need to try it on with my shoes and veils, you know….that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it. 😉

@PacificMrs: Well, it is of utmost importance to make sure that everything goes together and still fits…

This is why I left my dress with my alterations lady. She has had it for the last 4 months so I haven’t had it sitting in my closet taunting me!

Haha that is why I left my dress at the bridal salon! I didn’t want to be tempted! Even after the wedding, the dress is still at my parents house, I wish I had room for it in our apartment, I would totally put it on just for fun!

I’m totally guilty. I tried it on at least 3 times before our wedding day. And yes…I did maybe get a spot on it… So if you can exert more self control than me, try not to try it on!
