Eh, your house sounds fine for hosting. Everyone will understand that it’s still a work in progress. But the most important parts of hosting are you and your husband, not wall hangings! I wouldn’t worry about it. As long as you’ve got beds, bedding and towels for your guests, you should be fine!

Rue7514:  You are saving them hundreds of dollars  by having them stay at your home. As long as you ave the basics: sheets, blankets, pillows, towels, they will be fine.

If you don’t have the basics, borrow them from friends or family.

Everyone has been in your place as a new homeowner. They will understand.

That would stress me out too, but I am sure everything will be fine.  I am sure they know you just bought the house and aren’t expecting 5 star accomodations. Besides you can make them feel like they are in a 5 star hotel by the way you make them feel, not how your house looks.  Good luck.
