After my not horrible, but not great DB experience, I drove to two other bridal stores and was told they have nothing in my price range (around $1200) and that I need to shop elsewhere…I called Alfred Angelo and moved up the appointment I had for tomorrow. I felt very discouraged, but here I actually found dresses that fit and weren’t too bad, but I didn’t find “the dress” I dont think. How will I know? Anyway, what do you guys think? I have another appt tomorrow to re-visit my 3 then maybe try a couple others.
This was the first dress I tried, I didn’t like the poof-bundle on the skirt
This second dress I really loved, but I feel weird getting a non-lace dress (which I’m really attached to)
I looked like an apple-potato hybrid in this
I like the ruching of this dress, but again, not lace.
pretty, but too simple of a bodice
I felt like the fit was off in this one or something:
again, feel weird for a non-lace dress but this might be my second favorite (not sure about appliques tho)
liked the skirt, but NOT the chunky bodice flowers
this dress was 3rd favorite, but in solid ivory and remove the ugly flower thing

I think the second and last ones look especially beautiful on you! If u are really set on lace (which I totally understand–I was!!) I say keep looking until you find what is perfect, not just what meets ur budget and you are kind of meh about. Its ok to be picky, and it might take a few more appointments but so much better than having dress regret later on. I will say that the silhouettes of the ones I mentioned look awesome on you, so you are definitely headed in the right direction!!! And if u decided u can do withhout lace, my fav is the last one, so beautiful 🙂

Did you tell them you wanted lace? I’m wondering who on earth was pulling those dresses for you. I really don’t like them. You can do sooo much better. Sorry.

The only one I like is the last one but I think you could do better. I think you need to keep looking. I understand your frustration as I have tried on close to forty dresses! I still believe in ‘the one’ and am only now beginning to narrow it down to what suits me and my budget! X

I think you looked best in 2 and 4. 2 has lace, it is just not all lace.

I think the last one looks beautiful on you. It makes your figure look amazing. Definitely my top pick from the bunch.

The last one is gorgeous! Rhinestones on your hip instead of a flower please.

I think the 5th dress and the last dress are my favorites on you. If you don’t like any of the dresses at the two stores, maybe try on dresses at other stores and look for used dress or have one made? I had the same issue with my budget but went to a trunk show and got a great deal on a Watters dress 🙂

The last one is about the best looking one on you but I think you have to keep looking!

I like numbers 3, 4, and the last one on you!

The second one. It’s beautiful!!!

thank you. I totally do feel like I am being picky and rushed also. My wedding is in October. :/
honestly she pulled them for me (the bridal stylist) but she did a good job considering I have intense requests: ball gown, corset back, lace, pickups, sweetheart neckline, no defined “junk” (ribbons beading) etc around waist withought transition, tulle, an no solid skirt.
I have an appt Tuesday somewhere else. But I’m nervous about my budget.
yay! You like one of the ones I loved.
thank you. 🙂 I assure you my figure is horrific under all that corset lol
I would do like leaves or something there for a fall wedding.
I would do all of that but my wedding is October and I need to pull trigger next week on a dress for it to be done in time.
than. You for being honest. I Will keep looking.
thank you but I really felt ugly in #3

yay! Another person for the leading dress IMO. I’m gonna try it on again today.

I honestly don’t like any of them. The second one would be nice but the neckline isn’t very pretty. Maybe it’s just because it’s too big up top?

Oops – I meant 4 and 5, not 3 and 4… lost count – sorry!
