I think #4 exentuates your figure the best. I also really like #2 on you.

Most places have discontinued samples that they sell at a discount, at all of the bridal places I went to for myself and my best friend that had probably at least 10 dresses at each place that were well under $1000 bc of them being old samples.

I’d call salons and ask about those.

shawna.darling4:  Have you looked at Maggie Sottero dresses? They are in your price range, for the most part. I bought an all lace Maggie Sottero Lorie for just about $1200. The quality is beautiful.

shawna.darling4:

The dropped waist dresses do not suit your figure. Stick to the natural waist dresses with a defined waist.

4, 5 and 6 look very nice on you. The last dress looks fairly decent as well.

I actually really love the 3rd and 9th ones. I think the third especially flatters your figure!

shawna.darling4:  I am glad. Maybe, if you feel that your dress is not girly enough because it does not have lace, you can wear lacy under things. They always make me feel much more beautiful!

shawna.darling4:  I’m not wowed by any of those dresses although you have a really nice figure.  I too NEEDED lace, which is unfortunately expensive.  My all lace WTOO dress was $999 at the boutique and a lot of the others in that line were similarly priced.  I also found it to be much higher quality than Alfred Angelo without being too much more expensive.  I bought my dress preowned, which could be an option for you if you see something you love that is a little over your budget.

I thought 4 was flattering on you, but if lace is what you really want, you have to do lace!!

Have you considered a different cut and/or trying on some non-strapless dresses?

I was actually just going to suggest the Vera Wang you liked but not the color fomr DB! I think since you have such specific elements you want you should write them all down. Then look at some of the designers that are at this next dress shop.

For me I knew I wanted sleeved, lace, cascading lace on the bodice, button back and scalloped lace edge. On my last dress stop we went in with a mission to only try dresses that fit those criteria.

If you are really set on those things you will find it. If you still feel like you want to try different silhouetts then narrow down your top critera like lace, interesting skirt corset back.

Good luck! Keep us posted!!
