I would try and limit yourself so it doesn’t get too dirty or ruined. I left mine at my sisters so I couldn’t try it on all the time.. but then I found excuses to go over and try it on.. haha

I agree you dont want any accidents before the big day!! I know its hard. Thats why my mom keeps hers at her house lol. I knew I would have this issue.

You know how store samples start fitting looser than the actual dress should and get a little dingy and shabby looking? That’s what’s going to happen to your dress! You have 7 months left, you gotta leave it alooooone!

I’m going to have this issue. Once it comes in, there is no where but my closet for it. Fiance is over a lot and so keeping him away will be hard too.

i have my reception dress here and i AAAAALWAYS want to put it on and flounce around, but limit it to when i’m trying it with something else, like potential wedding shoes (which i’ve had a lot of!). my wedding dress is being held at the salon i bought it at (walking distance from my house) but i haven’t tried it on again since i first bought it. >_<

hahaha mine hasn’t come in yet, but I’m scared I’m going to do this too. At the very least, I’ll unzip the back and look at it every day. I might have to leave mine at my parents’ house to avoid the temptation.

I am the exact opposite, I dont want to try anything on for fear of making it dirty.. I dont even want to bring the dress home from the salon until the 2 days before…

This is why I haven’t ordered a dress yet. I don’t want it here to soon where I will mess with it every day!

Yep, I’ve tried mine on a couple times and consequently got cat hair on it.

Yes.

Cat hair.

On my wedding dress.

I’m not really freaked too much about this, since that isn’t my style, but I’m sure the seamstress will raise an eye.  It’s not too bad, and I’m gonna take a good ‘ole fashioned lint roller to it to get it out.

But let this be a lesson to you.  Leave the dress alooooooone!!!!

I left my dress at my mom’s house. I would look at it every time I went over, but didn’t try it on b/c I was scared I would ruin it.

@Evie19: You need to step away from the dress lol. Yes limit yourself or put it away and not try it on again until alterations time.

I’ve had my dress sitting in my closet since winter and I’ve tried it on a few times, but I try to limit myself to once every few months. I’m not actively trying to lose weight and I hope that I’m maintaining but I’m not always as careful as I should be about what I eat, so…  I mainly try my dress on to make sure it still fits.
