I was trying on my dress every few days lol, but now that I am losing weight, I’ve vowed not to try it on again until my first fitting in September so I can marvel at how much looser the dress will be. ๐Ÿ˜›

@Evie19: I guess I want to wait it out so that it will really seem like a big loss rather than a bunch of little ones, haha!

I don’t have my dress at home yet, and I am planning on asking a girlfriend to house it for me so I don’t try it on constantly & wreck it or get it dirty. With 3 pets and a 5 year old running around I would rather have it hanging in someone elses closet (in their pet+kid free apartment!)

@Evie19: hahahha im sorry, but i’m reallly enjoying your threads – you make my day!!! i liked the “can you imagine how awful it would be if something happened to it? (this from the girl who tries hers on every day…)” comment. classic!

Oh no! I’m happy my dress is safe at the dress shop now! But my veil is getting some abuse lately. I think I might have to find a box to put it in and not touch it! I hope your dress survives ๐Ÿ˜€

@Evie19: haha nooo! unfortunately, mine doesn’t come in until december *sad panda* – and even then – it stays at the boutique until the very last fitting…being 2 weeks before the wedding. and knowing my luck – the Fiance would probably walk in on me trying it on…hahahha ๐Ÿ™

I am sooo glad my dress is still at the bridal shop, because I have a feeling I would do what you’re doing. My bridal shop is about an hour from my house and I have gone there ALOT of times just to try it on hihi, but I know that it’s safe there. We have a Rotweiller and 3 cats, so I am def NOT keeping the dress in my house. Once the dress does come home though, I’ll give it to my Maid/Matron of Honor to keep it at her house so I don’t get tempted to try it on hihi.

Oh, I wish I had mine!

Mine stays at the store till the day before the wedding if it needs alterations, or 2 days before if alterations are all done.

Once a month seems like a good compromise for you. Good luck!
