Here’s my dress, one of the ever popular ones from DB:

I’m having a flower sewn onto the band on my right side and altered to a sweetheart neckline.
I’m trying to think of “non-blingy” acessories. We’re having a rustic, vintage kind of wedding and I don’t really want to be dripping in diamonds. I LOVE this girls look from Style Me Pretty:

My hair will be really similar, no veil, flower in my hair, but I don’t know if I can pull off the pocketwatch necklace.
What do you think? Would it go with my dress?

I think it looks a little random …
I’d say that if it was somehow a meaningful piece to you (like if it was a grandfather’s pocket watch that you wore because you wanted a reminder of him on your wedding day), then go for it. If you’re just wearing it because you saw it in a magazine, I think it would feel a little contrived.
Could you achieve a similar effect with something that has a little more of a connection to you? Maybe hang a brooch from your grandmother or a favorite aunt on a long chain?

@KCKnd2: I agree on the random thing. We actually have a silver pocketwatch, it was FIs grandfathers watch, who just passed away a few months ago. FI thought that would be weird if I wore it, since it would mean something to HIM, but not to me (I never got to meet him). Not sure if I have any from my family.
Another option I have is using a brooch that matches the brooches in my bouquet. They look like this:

Although I am extremely crafty I have no jewelry making skills and would have no idea how to make a cute but appropriate necklace out of one of these.

Agreed that the pocketwatch is a bit random. Why don’t you use one of your brooches to make a necklace like the one Miss Unicyle made? http://www.weddingbee.com/2012/02/22/175-necklace-knock-off/

I wonder which one of the above brooches would look good on a two or three strand necklace like that? I bought htem off Etsy, I’m sure she could re-create another one for me.
