My wedding is this August and we are doing main colors of black and white with hot pink/fucia as accent color… bridesmaid dresses black with hot pink shoes, flowers and jewelry… men are in black with pink vests, ties, socks (cute for pics) and flower…I’m all white with black sash and my future hubs is black and white like me with… lots of black and white.. ideas to make it not look boring and bland? It’s an outdoor wedding so there is lots of green around… trying tofigure out reception table ideas without it being all black and morbid looking.. .in need of so many ideas?! Any takers?

@MRS PINK: I think that the key to avoid any morbid or boring issues (though I really don’t think it’ll be a problem) is to make sure to use enough white and pink. What do you think of this inspiration board from Project Wedding?

Maybe expand to different shades and textures of white. Bright white and creamy ivories along with the black and pink–that would definitely give you more options in the flower department. Or even a dark gray for linens. Or you could always add another shade of pink–fushcia and a contrasting blush shade.
Pink vests on guys are never a favorite of mine though so maybe our tastes are different and you should ignore me, lol

You should be fine, as long as you carry your hot pink flowers to the tables, it won’t look morbid that your linens/dinnerware are black and white.
Sounds fun and elegant and just a touch whimsical!
