the traditional tenth anniversary gifts are tin (and aluminum)
-you could get him a six pack, a huge tin of popcorn and watch the Wizard of Oz together (the tin man)
-get a tin bucket and fill it with his favorite things- snacks, drinks, books, magazines
-find some tin toys from his childhood- did he always want a train set?
– does he ride a bike? Many bike parts are made of aluminum. A new bike? a bike stand?
-iPods are made of aluminum
-get something made of aluminum for his man cave- a sign, a martini shaker, a baseball bat, a hockey stick, grilling tools for the BBQ,
– if none of these ideas work, wrap his gift in tin foil

This is really helpful, thanks! 🙂 Seriously considering getting him a new bike! (Sorry, not sure why the posts in this thread seem out of order – must be the new system!)

Recently realised that my Fiance and I are coming up to our 10th dating anniversary later this month (we are getting married in July). Originally we were planning on going away for a few days to celebrate but we have quite a lot of other things going on right now so that fell through. Fiance is generally not a birthday/anniversary person so I don’t think he really cares what we do. He just tells me to do whatever makes me happy although he has vetoed a night away somewhere local, going out to dinner, or doing something at a later date. I’m thinking a picnic might be fun? I’d also like to do something nice for him but he’s pretty difficult to buy for, heh.
Anyone have any cool anniversary gifts or ideas? I was considering a balloon ride but Fiance wasn’t so keen and it looks like it might be raining then anyway. I enjoy skydiving but that is totally out for my Fiance. Maybe some kind of nice engraved tie clip or cufflinks (he likes those)? We are in Australia though so unfortunately it would be hard to buy that kind of thing locally and I am running out of postage time. 😛
Any suggestions or ideas very much appreciated!
