We are going to stay in a cute little town for our honeymoon in Feburary. Right now, we have three nights booked at a really cute, fancy cottage with a private jacuzzi with a forest view and all sorts of other awesome amenities (like heated floors!). I can’t decide if I want to stay book the cottage for another three nights or stay at a really awesome historic downtown hotel that is supposedly haunted. Both places are the same price and the cottage is nicer and gets better reviews, but part of me is tempted to stay in a 150 year old haunted hotel. Any opinions?

I think a dinner visit or something for the haunted hotel would be okay, but personally my Honeymoon isn’t the place that I want a “ghost” watching.

I’d stick with the cottage, you wont have to move your stuff, and as mentioned– ghosts aren’t exactly romantic… But that’s just my taste.

I’d go for the downtown hotel. I love being able to change hotels mid-trip because it usually lets me spend more time in a totally different neighborhood than if the whole trip is in one hotel, and I love seeing the different sides of a city. A new set of sidewalks to wander around, new shops to discover, a new view in the mornings, all that sounds really good to me.

Split it up between the two. That’s my vote!

I’d spend one night at the haunted hotel…and have a backup in case I see/hear anything. Spooky!!!

I would stay at both! How fun!

Split it up if you think you’d be cool with the scary aspect! I’d probably do a night in the haunted place…if that. But I scare easily 🙂
