nikkiibee: Misswhowedding: 242beauty: DH and I do have frequent conversation about timelines, it’s just that I become emotionally swayed whenever I come in contact with a baby (haha). I am currently looking to change my job, and once I get the new job, I want to work at least 2 years to get adjusted to the new environment (and maybe even get a promotion so I can have the option of working at home) before trying to have a child. DH wants to save up money for 1-2 years, buy a house, save up some more, and then think about trying for a child. He’s really not in the “daddy” mode right now (he thinks he’s too young to be a dad), and I definitely don’t want to push the idea on him…. But it’s so hard whenever I play with DH’s friends’ babies/kids! Waiting on the new job offer is getting pretty anxious too! I guess I just want things to happen. Haha.
LilLis: nawella: I really think I need some “spice” in my life right now – not partying necessarily, but like you said, something “new”, whether it be taking a trip or learning a new hobby. Few months ago, I took some sewing classes and got my own sewing machine (one of my childhood dreams), and that gave me quite a high (haha) but ever since I started massive job search it sort of fizzed out…. I think I need to do something like that. Some new “kick” in the butt, so to speak.
KateriPetrie: I also wanted to be a (relatively) young mom for the same reason as yours – to see them grow up and be independent before I am too old. I feel like I’ll be able to understand/interact with them more if I am younger (not sure if this would be true, but that was my thought process) and I definitely wanted to be physically fit/young/fresh/however you put it. “Normal” is definitely subjective and personal…
