If you want to party, then party with your SO. It could be a lot of fun. Go to a club together or something.

Redholix:  I am 31 almost and I CAN tell you life is not like it was when I was in my 20s.  BUT I don’t want it to be.  I’m sooo not interested in the same stuff I used to be.  I had a freaking blast but I shudder to think about doing some of that stuff again.    I took off to burning man with a weeks notice by myself and not knowing anyone there.  I had that week to figure out how to survive alone in the harsh desert camping and it was 20 hrs of driving each way.   Compaired to now,   I just poo pooed a camping offer last long weekend because regular camping is too much work and we went to the theatre instead.  I love both periods of time but I don’t think either would have worked for me if they were reversed.

I don’t think the 20s is typical for anyone.  I say do what makes you happy.  If you feel part of you isn’t being satisfied with your friends maybe it’s time to reconnect with younger couples or other friends more often.    The bottom line is make sure you do what makes you happy at any age and that’s what’s right for you.

Don’t have a baby to fit into your peer group.  Your peer group could change and even if it doesn’t how wonderful would it be to have friends with children a bit older to pass down clothes and maybe babysit?   You don’t need to feel competitive about children.   If it’s a good time for you and your husband to have kids then go ahead but don’t make it about what others are doing.

Being wild and destructive is dangerous and often heart breaking. I envy that you got to skip that and go straight to wifey.
