Not sure about the pricing, but my cousin got married at One World Theater in Austin and it was lovely.

I’m getting married in Edna…. about 1hr outside Sugarland headed toward Victoria (where I live)

Brackenridge Park, there’s a FABULOUS little church (fits 160 seated) & we’re having our reception in their Auditorium right next door.

$150 for the church and $425 for the auditorium.

I’m not the biggest fan of the look of the auditorium but for the size (easily fit our original 200 guests) the full kitchen, and the price I couldn’t pass it up.

Oh and it includes the banquet style tables & chairs (we’re buying our own linens for $200)

Also for a smaller wedding they have a  pretty Marina thats often used for receptions for $225

Here’s the link look under Meeting Places

I’ve been to weddings at House on the Hill and Mercury Hall. Both were really beautiful, but I think House on the Hill would fit a rustic theme a little better. I’m not sure how many guests you’re expecting, but there were space issues at both of the weddings I attended. If your guest list is on the smaller side than you shouldn’t have any issues, though. Also, I seem to remember Mercury Hall being extremely hot all evening. There were a lot of guests, and it was August, but it still didn’t feel like there was any A/C at all. That’s something you might want to look into, as early October can still be really warm.

Good luck!

@HopelessHeartinHouston:

Hope I’m not posting too late, sorry if I am.

My sister got married at Huntsville State Park for $250.  The lodge has gorgeous hardwood floors, chairs and tables for 75 (bring your own covers), full size bar and kitchen along with a large concrete patio overlooking the lake.

Caroline+Ben Photography has done 2 weddings at this park, take a look at them.

I just put a deposit on my venue/ceremony place. It a private property owned by a man called Ernie Weatherford its in the northeast part of Houston. It is 5 acres of land and he has it divided into 3 sections. The first has a home with a dj booth, outside pa system, ceremony style living room and out side has a 1,500sqft deck  and infront a stage for a band or your wedding party you get it from noon-noon the next day and is $1,000 for the 24 hr rental of his property the second is a small cabin with a shower in the womans bathroom  and a mans restroom and a stove inside. also has a ooutdoor PA system and it has a double deck and a huge space all the way back to the lake and that is $750 for 24 hrs. The 3rd space is the area with a little gazebo thing and is infront of the lake ceremonies usually take place there.

You can find a video on youtube of the property by typing in “Private Property Houston” and there are 2 vids”

Good luck!

Hello ladies!

I know that this post is somewhat old. I was wanting to know if any ladies know of any Barn Rental’s on property that are available for an entire weekend.

Thanks, have a good day!

As per my practical experience House Plantation will be the best . It has all inclusive facilities like catering, make up, decoration etc.The best  thing here is that it has also gazebo wedding facilities, with the advantage of lakes and grounds having great hall for dining and dancing.
