That is frustrating! I really hope that the Doctor can answer all your questions and ease your concerns.

So sorry your doctor visit didn’t go so well. I would definitely seek a 2nd opinion. See if you can find a recommended doctor. Perhaps look at reviews online and ask some friends who they see? I hope you get answers soon!!

Wait…so are you pregnant or not? At 12 weeks they should have other means to tell besides a urine test. Can they do an U/S? Or was he just refusing to do it since your urine test came back negative? I don’t see why they wouldn’t just let you have one- extra money from the insurance company.

If he won’t, I suppose I’d just call a different doctor and explain the situation- if, as you say, you’re getting a bump, then even if you’re NOT pregnant, some kind of growth is clearly going on in there and should be checked out immediately.

And my god, he mentioned a possible tumor and he doesn’t think that warrants taking a look? WTH? Call a different doctor.

Oh my goodness. I would be concerned about a tumor at this point. Good Luck and I hope you are pregnant.

I suggest getting a blood test (not urine test) to determine pregnancy.  Sometimes urine tests don’t pick up HCG in some people.

How old are you. if you don’t mind me asking? Have they done an abdominal scan/ultrasound?

Is this just weight gain/ hormonal adjustment?

I can’t believe they haven’t ordered an ultrasound yet.  Personally, I’d look for a new doctor pronto.  Most OB’s have on site ultrasounds, so getting one shouldn’t even be a question.  I’m sorry you’ve been stuck in limbo… of course there are stories of people never getting + PG tests, but there are also stories of people being told/thinking they were pregnant and having symptoms, but it was psychosomatic.  I can only imagine the devestation of thinking you are PG for what will be 21 weeks and then finding out if you are or not… that a doctor would put you through that is unconscionable.  Good luck on the 19th, but I’d start researching for OB rec’s from your friends.
