Hi bees! The title of this post pretty much sums it up! We hit our one year of TTC mark at the end of May. Since April, I’ve been getting acupuncture, taking recommended Chinese herbs, and have changed my diet to gluten free based on my acupuncturist’s recommendations. My cycles have gotten shorter (down to 33-38 days from 50-80 days), but still no pregnancy. I’m trying to decide how much longer to give acupuncture before I ask my doctor to explore medical alternatives. I’d love to hear about others’ experiences, or if you’ve had to make a similar decision and how it turned out!
Just to add, I’ve already had the diagnostic testing for PCOS due to my crazy cycles, and I don’t have that.
Thanks for any insight!

I went once a week for 6ish weeks got got pregnant that cycle (after 6 months of trying), so I am definitely a believer!

I had 6 weeks worth, paid for another 6 week slot and found out I was pregnant a week later! This was our 11th cycle trying. It’s still very early but I’m cautiously optimistic. I had the acupuncture through a natural fertility centre so I was seeing a naturopath at the same time. In my head I was going to give it 3 months before moving on to clomid, not because I didn’t think it was helping, but because it was getting so hard emotionally.

I started going to accupuncture after 10 months TTC, 4 cycles of Clomid, an A+ SA from my Darling Husband, and zero pregnancies. It wasn’t covered by insurance, and $80 a week was steep, so I gave it 100% effort for 8 weeks. It didn’t help at all (not shortening my long/irregular cycles, not making my period any more manageable, etc). So I stopped going. We were eventually diagnosed unexplained and only got pregnant after 16 months and Clomid + trigger shot + IUI.

It shortened by periods within a month and I was pregnant by month 3 of going. My cycles were long/irregular. I went once a week. I just stopped going when I entered my 2nd trimester.
