chocolateplease :  You’ve got to do what’s right for you when you’ve had enough time to grieve and feel ready to try again. Some folks take longer breaks after a mc than others. For me, I needed that first month to let my body rest and take care of myself, but I was pretty ready to jump back into TTC the next cycle.

LongIslandRN :

LongIslandRN : sorry about the two mc. Also, I may be confusing you with someone else, but I had thought you had posted recently about not wanting more kids but your husband wanting them? Hope things are working out for you guys however you decide to move forward.

Eta: sorry, just reread and I see you are most likely not going to try again. Sorry I missed that at first. Sending lots of love as you process the losses and decide how to move forward.

Afm, almost 6 weeks over here and I had a mc dream last night, trying hard not to be super anxious today.

Ugh you guys I’m panicking once again. Does anyone know if you can still have hcg in your system after your first period? I’ve been having a few weird symptoms lately and we used the “pull and pray” method. I want to drink this weekend so I took a test to make sure and there’s a very faint line. I didn’t track this cycle but I’m guessing I would be 7-8dpo. I’m guessing it’s just leftover..? Anyone who got a very obvious heavy period but still had hcg above 5?

sophie89 :  Yup. That has happened to me twice now after both my D&Cs.  :/ When was your last blood draw?

apostrophecatastrophe :  okay that’s really good to know! I haven’t had one for over a month.. my last was probably 6 weeks ago and I was at 300 or so. I’m going to assume it’s just leftover for now. I wish I never tested lol.

sophie89 :  I guess to be safe you could just have one or two drinks? Plenty of women drink before knowing they are pregnant and it works out fine. Just in case it’s not leftover HCG…

apostrophecatastrophe :  Good luck!!!

sophie89 :  I think it’s probably leftover. You could always get a blood draw to make sure, but it wouldn’t stop me from having a couple drinks this weekend. πŸ™‚

sleepymelis :  Thank you! Heading home now (husband driving). They got 28 eggs! I am thrilled! At least some of those eggs ought to be decent quality…
