ROLL CALL

Your Age/Partner’s Age: 29/30 (31 next week)

How long you have been together/married: Together 5 years, married 9 months.

How long you have been TTC: Started NTNP after the wedding in September so 9 total, 4 since MC.

Known Issues/MC/TTC History: No knon issues. I got pregnant in January, the one cycle we weren’t trying, for various reasons (early O). Went for 7 week scan, saw heartbeat, etc. WEnt in at 11w2d and there was no heartbeat, fetal age was about 7.5 weeks. Since it had been about 3 weeks, we decided to get a D&C the next day, 4/4. AF returned 5/1. So I’m on my 4th cycle, including MC cycle (since we were told we didn’t have to wait to TTC).

Your TTC plans for the next few months: Currently 7DPO and this month I did the whole pre-seed/Softcup/Mucinex thing. Also been taking Vitex, EPO, folate, iron, and using OTC progesterone cream following O as I suspect I have somewhat low progesterone (previously had very short LPs). Coupled with BD ED/EOD during FW, that’s that.

We didn’t have amazing timing, so if this month isn’t it, I’ll probably try this circus again.

Just for fun: Do you have any fun summer plans?  We leave for Portugal on Friday! My best friend and her husband are also going, and we are SO excited!

However, my test date is 6/26 and we’ll be in Portgual… It’s kind of a bummer because either I’ll be bummed AND have to deal with AF or I’ll be excited, but won’t want to tell my BFF why I’ve suddenly stopped drinking all the wine. Ugh!

auggiefrog :  Thanks for starting this!

ROLL CALL

Your Age/Partner’s Age: 35

How long you have been together/married: Together 5.5 yrs, Married 2.5 yrs

How long you have been TTC: 1.5 yrs

Known Issues/MC/TTC History: None, it was pretty much unexplained fertility until we conceived naturally several mos. ago. Risk of miscarriage was prob higher due to my age. Like DrunkInLove : we had a missed miscarriage where ultrasound at 7.5 weeks showed healthy baby with normal heartbeat, then ultrasound at 10-11 weeks showed baby had stopped growing soon after the 7.5 weeks and there was no heartbeat. I got a vacuum aspiration done right away. We were so hopeful after trying for over a yr and getting to like the 8 week mark, in denial now though I know realistically, the lack of growth and heartbeat together means our baby was gone.

Your TTC plans for the next few months: This all just happened last week, so we need to wait at least 1-2 cycles before TTC again.

Just for fun: Do you have any fun summer plans? I had started planning a babymoon for September. My heart feels heavy but we decided to go ahead and book the trip soon – the babymoon was not only supposed to be our last hurrah, but a celebration of our lost baby so I think we should still go. Planning to do Athens/Santorini!

Let’s keep trucking on, ladies!

auggiefrog :  Thanks dear! We did have the option of getting the “products of conception” tested for whether it was normal or abnormal (chromosomal defects) but at the time, I just wanted to let go of our baby. I regret not doing it now because I would have been able to find out the gender and the specifics if it was abnormal, but it wouldn’t have changed anything and might have led to more questions. Plus we already got a full panel of genetic testing done through the RE that was 100% clear, so I figured anything abnormal was most likely a random occurrence.

Try not to be nervous! I’m hoping the best for you on Wednesday. 🙂

Hi ladies!

ROLL CALL

Your Age/Partner’s Age:  33/43

How long you have been together/married: together 4 years married for 15 months

How long you have been TTC: since June 2016

Known Issues/MC/TTC History: 2 mmc’s in last year. First was in October 2016. Heartbeat could not be detected at first parental visit at 8.5 weeks.  Had a d&c at 10 weeks. Second was in February 2017. Heard the heartbeat at 3 ultrasound visits, but it stopped beating by 10 weeks. Fetus growth lagged behind at 7 weeks with consistent low HR. In between weekly U/s, fetus only grew a couple of days worth.  Had a d&c at 11 weeks. Unfortunately, I ended up with scarring from 2nd d&c and had to have it removed by hysteroscopy as my cycle did not return. So far it appears the scarring has not returned. I received a recurrent pregnancy loss workup (I have a history of previous chemical as well) and all tests came back normal from both DH and I.

Your TTC plans for the next few months: My RE recommended either IUI or continue to try on our own. We decided to do IUI. We were cleared to start trying last month, but had to cancel the IUI due to hyperstimulation from med. I had 4+ mature follicles by day 10 and they wouldn’t proceed. We are planning to do IUI this month at the start of my cycle. Should be any day now! It feels weird when you’re dying for your AF to arrive!

Just for fun: Do you have any fun summer plans?  Just spending time with my family at the beach.

ROLL CALL

Your Age/Partner’s Age: I’m 36; he’s 41

How long you have been together/married: We’ve been married almost 4 months now

How long you have been TTC: Four months

Known Issues/MC/TTC History: Our age contributes to a higher risk of MC and I am slightly hypothyroid. I stopped the Pill right before our wedding in February and got what I thought was two normal periods (March and April), but then I started bleeding and spotting mid cycle in early May and it turned out I was pregnant and they thought I was 6-7 weeks based on my HCG. However, it turned out to be MMC or blighted ovum. After four ultrasounds, I never saw anything except empty embryonic sac and had D&C on May 24. I was sad, but I *really* freaked out when they were worried it was partial molar and I would have to wait 3-6 months to try again. Luckily the second pathology report said it was almost certainly not molar so I just have to wait for HCG to get to negative (less than 5) and one period and then we can try again. HCG was 30 three weeks after D&C (last week) so hopefully only one or two more weeks. Tomorrow will be four weeks since the procedure.

Your TTC plans for the next few months:  As soon as that HCG gets to 5, we are ditching the condoms. I take women’s vitamins and extra folic acid but I’ll switch to prenatals when this container runs out. I’ll also start using Ovia app when period returns.

Just for fun: Do you have any fun summer plans?  I play on a softball team right now, which I would not have done if my pregnancy had been viable. Also went for a long hike this weekend and are planning a couple of short trips this summer. Also just started a new job that has Fridays off in the summer so I can go to the beach, bike rides, running, etc. While i was still in limbo and getting ultrasounds and having spotting, I wasn’t allowed to exercise or have sex so making up for lost time with both. 🙂

auggiefrog :  Thanks! Sorry to be redundant. 🙂 The message boards on here have been really helpful. I left out the part about how I broke out in hives during the two week limbo period. Doctors still have no idea why, but I am convinced that it was my body reacting to the miscarriage even though there is no medical evidence to support that theory.

ROLL CALL

Your Age/Partner’s Age: 25/36

How long you have been together/married: Married for 5 years

How long you have been TTC: 10 months

Known Issues/MC/TTC History: Conceived my daughter on the first try in 2014. Started trying last year and got pregnant the first cycle but it was ectopic. Ovulated two weeks after surgery, got pregnant and miscarried at 6.5 weeks. Next cycle was a chemical, followed by a 5 week miscarriage. I then started Clomid which resulted in a chemical pregnancy and just did two rounds of Femara and one was a chemical and the other unsuccessful. All testing is normal and according to the RE I don’t have any issues, just bad luck,

Your TTC plans for the next few months: We are going to be trying naturally (no Femara, no progesterone) and see what happens. I will be taking baby aspirin though.

Just for fun: Do you have any fun summer plans?  We leave for a week on the beach later this week and I am so excited. I’m currenlty 2 DPO so at least it will make the TWW go by quickly (I hope!).

ROLL CALL

Your Age/Partner’s Age: 32/35

How long you have been together/married: Married 5 years, together 17 total.

How long you have been TTC: 12 Months Active TTC, 2.5 years prior NTNP

Known Issues/MC/TTC History: Ectopic April 2017 treated with MTX- no known medical issues

Your TTC plans for the next few months: I’m finally coming off my 12 week wait following my EP back in April, which was treated with MTX. I should sometime in the next few days, so keeping fingers crossed for a positive. We will try again in July and if not pregnant will take a few months off due to my work schedule.

Just for fun: Do you have any fun summer plans?  Work, work, and more work. We live in a resort area and I’m a wedding photographer so I’m smack in my busy season until October. We do close our new lot this week, and hopefully will move forward with selling our house and building our dream house. Other than that just as many days as we can out on our boat.

Thanks for leading me here and sorry that we have gone through this 🙁

ROLL CALL

Your Age/Partner’s Age: 33/34

How long you have been together/married: 6 years together / 2 years and 2 months married

How long you have been TTC: Since April so we got lucky pretty quickly, conceived in May.

Known Issues/MC/TTC History: Conceived on May 17. BFP on May 31, confirmed June 1 and 2. MC symptons began June 12 with spotting. First ultrasound done on June 13 showed no sac, we were pretty sad, HCG levels monitoring that week showed no significant spike, doctor thought not viable and potential ectopic pregnancy. Came back June 19 for ultrasound and we saw the gestational and yolk sac! The happiness didn’t last long however as doctor called back today with HCG results dropping. MC diagnosed June 20. Waiting now for it to happen naturally? May have to induce it with medication.

As far as TTC goes, we don’t have sex as regularly as we should which is an added stress/difficulty.

Your TTC plans for the next few months: I have no idea! Wait for a regular cycle? Don’t know when it should come back, how long it regularly takes, nothing. I am just researching of all of this and still pretty shocked. We both know we want to try again as soon as possible.

Just for fun: Do you have any fun summer plans?  No. Hopefully work on getting healthier and conceiving again if my cycles are back?
