You and I have similar journeys so far. I have also have back to back losses and then was diagnosed with ashermans syndrome. I had the scar tissue removed in April. I’m praying the scarring doesn’t return. When I signed the consent for the D&C it sounded like ashermans was extremely rare, but I’ve read several stories about women who have been diagnosed after a d&c.

ROLL CALL

Your Age/Partner’s Age 34/35

How long you have been together/married: 8 years married 2.5 years

How long you have been TTC: Since August 2016

Known Issues/MC/TTC History: We started TTC for our first in July of 2014, we had 3 CP and 1 MMC before getting pregnant and carrying to term, our DS was born in November 2015.  We started NTNP for baby #2 in July 2016, got pregnant in August 2016 but had a MC in September.  We just started seeing at RE and so far the only thing that has come up is that my FSH to LH hormone ratio is 1:3 which could be a sign of PCOS.  I have very regular cycles but since October of last year have had several days of spotting during my LP and short LPs of 9 days.  Saline sono booked for next week and Darling Husband has a SA booked as well with DNA fragmentation testing.  We see our RE again 3 weeks after to get the results.

Your TTC plans for the next few months: Using OPKs and timing BD.  Getting through the rest of our testing and hopefully have a plan in place for August with our RE.

Just for fun: Do you have any fun summer plans? No fun summer plans here ūüôĀ Darling Husband is self employed and he had way too many contracts on the go this summer to take vacation.  We are hoping to get away in September or October and head to Nova Scotia or New Brunswick.

auggiefrog :  Glad to hear that your blood tests are looking good and that your HCG is dropping pretty fast! I get the HCG tests every week, and mine went from 30 to 12 last week, so I’m hoping this week (Friday) will be the last week — until I (hopefully!) go back again after getting a positive home pregnancy test. Today marks 5 weeks since my D&C and I haven’t gotten my period yet, but hopefully that will happen soon so I can feel a bit more normal. Lots of waiting…

I am doing pretty well and trying to distract myself. The less I have to do, the more I think about things and/or read the Internet, which can turn into rumination. Luckily this is my favorite time of year. I have a five-day weekend this weekend starting with some local fireworks on Thursday night. I’m going on a hiking trip Monday and Tuesday and will hopefully get some pool and/or beach time in too. Any 4th of July plans for you?

ROLL CALL

Your Age/Partner’s Age: 27/26

How long you have been together/married: 10 years/3 years married

How long you have been TTC: took 2 cycles with DS (15m) and we got pregnant first ntnp this time which ended with a mmc

Known Issues/MC/TTC History:

Your TTC plans for the next few months: id love to get pregnant straight away but will just ntnp and see what happens

I only had my d&c yesterday and I feel ok, from the start I just felt something was wrong it was all so different than with DS, had our first scan at what should have been 7w (although I got a positive test really late so we figured dates were out) and there was just a gestational sack, went back at what should have been 8w and there was a baby measuring 6w2d with 125bpm heartbeat which still kind of measured up dates with my BFP but unfortunately at (new) 8w2d the baby no longer had a heart beat and had stopped growing at 7w4d. I opted for a d&c because I didn’t cope with the contractions with ds and didn’t want to deal with that for a miscarriage waiting naturally and just needed closure. I feel maybe because i spent the last 5 week so preparing myself that it might have gone badly maybe I’ll be ok but in the other breathe I’m waiting to come crashing down again. I ordered an angel wing charm to go on my necklace with DS name, I know I was only 7w but I never want to forget our baby.

Mrs2b2014 :¬† I’m sorry for your loss. It’s amazing how quickly we become attached even to the tiniest embryo…. I had never been pregnant before but also felt like something “wasn’t right” from the beginning. I never saw a heartbeat, which I think made it slightly easier to handle. I hope you heal quickly from the D&C. Yesterday was 5 weeks since I had my procedure and I got my period for the first time, which was weirdly helpful since I feel like my body is getting back to normal.¬†

We are 33/32

weve been together 3 years, married 9 months

Trying to conceive for about 5 months

Known issues: I miscarried this week- on Tuesday. Darling Husband is on meds that make ejaculaying difficult. So, we can only BD 1 time, if lucky, each cycle. My cycles are textbook (28-29 days, ovulation is easily detected, etc)

Plans: continue trying. I have an appointment with a fertility specialist August 9. Darling Husband has more success ejaculating from hand jobs so I’m thinking an iui would be successful

summer plans: we are teachers but we have a summer job at our family owned snowball shop. We work the day shift. We already went on vacation the first week of June.

auggiefrog :  Thanks! Yeah it was weird to be happy to get my period. I thought today would be my last HCG test but it’s at 7.25 (down from 12 last week–why so slow??) and they want to keep testing until it’s under 5 so I have to get another blood test next week. I thought period meant no more pregnancy hormone, but I was wrong. Glad to hear your bleeding has stopped. I guess it’s sort of good and bad that your tests are normal in case there was some kind of easy fix. What were they testing?

How long does it normally take for hcg to reach 0? I have to go back to the doctor in 2 weeks and I’m assuming they’ll do another blood test then. Feeling super pissed off about the whole situation today.

Mrs2b2014 :  I think it really depends on the person. My HCG is still slightly elevated and it has been 5.5 weeks since my D&C. Other people’s is faster. My doctor doesn’t seem worried as long as it drops every week. I understand feeling pissed off.  :/

ROLL CALL

Your Age/Partner’s Age: 41/41

How long you have been together/married: married 5 years, together 6.5 years.

How long you have been TTC: it’s complicated. This is our first month post vasectomy reversal.

Known Issues/MC/TTC History: Had MC at 14weeks just over a year ago. We had gotten the vasectomy when I was 6 weeks along with an oppsie. Big mistake. We shall see what happens, I have made amazing friends on here and I’m hoping that if I get pregnant it will be nice to chat with ladies who are as nervous as I will be. This was our third MC. I had a healthy pregnancy, then an ectopic, then a MC at 6 weeks, then a healthy pregnancy, and then the most recent one.

Your TTC plans for the next few months:  hope for the best. I think I just ovulated.

Just for fun: Do you have any fun summer plans?  Just some camping.

ROLL CALL

Your Age/Partner’s Age: 29/31

How long you have been together/married: 7 years/3.5 years

How long you have been TTC: I’m on CD2 of our third cycle, but our first one was the MC, so that took several months to resolve

Known Issues/MC/TTC History: We’re currently TTC #2. I had a natural MC at 5.5 weeks before my daughter, then had my daughter in April 2016. We started TTC March 2017 and I got pregnant first try. The pregnancy seemed normal at first with great progression on my pee sticks (no betas) but my first u/s was about a week behind where I thought I should be. Had normal betas after that, but the next ultrasound showed growth but not as much as they’d expect. They finally deemed it a nonviable pregnancy when my ultrasound at 10.5 weeks was still only showing a 6.5 week fetus. Had a D&C on 5/26, roughly 11 weeks. We TTCed the cycle immediately after the D&C but no luck, just started AF yesterday.¬†

Your TTC plans for the next few months: Temping/charting, OPKs, Preseed. If I have another MC my doctor will do some testing for repeat losses.

Just for fun: Do you have any fun summer plans? Yes! We went to Italy in May, which was amazing. We just got back from visiting my family in Florida. And we have kind of a “working vacation” in August–I have to do some research in England¬†and then I’m presenting at a conference in Amsterdam. So my husband and daughter are going to come along and hopefully we’ll have some fun around my work schedule!¬†
