FreckledFox :  I know, it’s a bit of a bummer but only a few months to wait at least. I was really hoping to be pregnant by Christmas. Last year it was so hard being around everyone’s kids (as much as I love them) and I told myself I’d definitely be pregnant by this Christmas. Ha!

I think when he originally offered me it he didn’t think I was ovulating consistently, and scans and blood work showed pcos. My cycle seems to have regulated somewhat recently so he thinks we can do it on our own. At least he’s only making us try until January and my miscarriage hasn’t reset the clock altogether!

Good luck for your next appointment!

I hope things are going well for everyone.  I posted once when my miscarriage started in September and haven’t posted since because I really didn’t have much to contribute.  Out of my 4 miscarriages this was by far the worse.  The bleeding has finally stopped after 4 and a half weeks of non stop bleeding and 3 ER visits. I’ve been doing weekly blood draws and regular ultrasounds, everything is clear thankfully.  I tested this morning and I’m finally starting to get squinters instead of strong BFPs.  I just want to move on at this point to another cycle and start TTC.

I guess this is the board I’m going to have to be joining now! My DH and I recently had to make the heart breaking choice to terminate our first pregnancy due to several severe abnormalities. It was discovered at our anatomy scan at 19 weeks and after further testing it was discovered our baby boy had triploidy (3 sets of chromosomes instead of 2). I’m only 29 days post now and still have not had my first period since labour and delivery.

I’m conflicted on when to try again and have received conflicting information from specialists, midwife and regular GP. I’ve been told we can TTC after the first period, after 3-6 months or “when we feel emotionally ready”…

We have decided to wait 2 periods so about 3 months before trying again. Just wanting to get other people’s opinions and thoughts on TTC again after a second trimester loss.

Cassidylouise :  I am so sorry for your loss, I can’t imagine how heartbreaking that decision must have been.  All of my losses have been in the first trimester so I don’t have any advice in terms of late losses but I just wanted to say you’re in my thoughts.

Cassidylouise :  My heart goes out to you. We lost our son at 29w, different circumstances. Were you induced and had him vaginally? Or through D&E? I would think vaginally would mean you could try sooner, but you need to give your body a little time to regain its nutrients. You nourished that little one as well as you could. I would’ve made the same decision. I am so sorry, I hope that you are at peace and can bring you baby a sibling on earth soon. <3 also I had a csection and my first period came 8 weeks later.

GonnaBeAFind :  I’m glad that you’re HcG is going down and the bleeding stopped 🙁 This is not easy.

Soton85 :  Do you think the MC helped regulate? After we had our son my cycles suddenly became regular, I thank him for that!

FreckledFox :  thanks for answering! I was induced and delivered him vaginally at 21+6weeks. He was very small, less than a pound. My doctor and nurses said it went amazingly though and very quick (wasn’t even 12 hours total from induction to delivery and placenta out). I feel basically normal besides the emotional aspect of it all.

Cassidylouise :  I am SO sorry again, for everything. I promise that it will get easier as time goes on. Trying again was a huge rollercoaster of emotions, but you gotta just follow your heart (as cliche as that sounds). I think your plan to wait 2 cycles is a good one.

FreckledFox :  That is insane. I remember going crazy waiting for DH’s SA results. Hopefully you’ll get the results ASAP!

Soton85 :  I feel you. I wanted so badly to have our first by the time I was 30. Now I’m just hoping to be pregnant with a sticky bean by then.

GonnaBeAFind :  Oh love, I’m so sorry you’ve had to endure 4 losses, that is heartbreaking. And for this one to last so long is just cruel. I really hope the HCG in your systems goes down quickly so you can move on. Hugs.

Cassidylouise :  That is so terrible. I’m sorry you’ve had to go through that. Sadly, we have friends who had to make the same decision due to triploidy and it is just so unfair. I’m not sure how long they waited to TTC again, but she is pregnant with a healthy little babe so FX that you can join her soon too. As for how long you should wait, that’s really up to you. I would wait at least 1 cycle, 2 seems like a good plan if you’re comfortable with that.

FreckledFox :  Possibly, I’m really hoping it continues as the long cycles were just adding another layer of stress to the process.

BFN today at 10dpo, don’t know why I’m surprised! I wouldn’t usually test but I’ve been offered a new job and am torn whether to take it or not so at least if I was pregnant I’d decide to stick it out at my current job. New job has a 6 month probation period so we’d have to stop trying for a few months 😞

How’s everyone’s weekends? Where is everyone in their cycles?

Anyone doing anything for Halloween? here’s my fur baby, hopefully she can put smiles on everyone’s  faces.  I got another BFP this morning (big squinter so not 100% positive) and started crying out of fear. I can’t even be excited at his point because I’m so afraid it is going to go away again. going to try to stay positive and go in for betas. if the numbers increase hopefully I can let my guard down, I just feel so much fear and am so sad that what should be the happiest times of our lives are now some of our most uncertain.

Soton85 :  So sorry for the BFN, it’s always disheartening to see. I’m sorry you have to put TTC on hold for a few months as well. I HATE having to wait to try. hugs.

mrsfitz25 :  Your pup is so cute! Is it a springer spaniel? Congrats on the BFP- hopefully your betas will be fantastic and you can actually enjoy this news a little bit more. When are you going in?

AFM, AF came yesterday (yay!!), so I’ll be starting clomid tomorrow. I was really excited about it before but now that the time’s come, I’m nervous it won’t work. I guess we will see 🙂 . Happy Halloween ladies.

Hi Ladies, I updated on the Charter thread, and I thought I updated here. My DHs SA results came back pretty good. So we are currently “unexplained”. We have a follow up appt this friday to go over results and a plan. No clue what he will suggest, but I’m open to trying medicines, or getting another test if he thinks it will help. FYI, my DHs SA was not covered by insurance and was $185, for anyone wondering.
