pinkisthenewblue :  If you had cramping, chances are it was your cervix dilating and theres not much they could’ve done. Maybe a rescue cerclage (cervical stitch) but usually those are done before the cervix starts to actually open, so you did all that you could. Its not your fault. <3 There are SO many options to prevent this from happening again. I researched it alot because i thought that IC could’ve caused my water to break (my cervix never dialted though, so they did an emergnecy c section after my placenta failed). First heal emotionally, and then you can talk to your doctor about the options. I’ll be getting progesterone shots week 16-36 to prevent preterm labor, and maybe a cerclage is my cervix looks short, plus extra monitoring. But thats all they can do for me.

pinkisthenewblue :  Your story is absolutely heartbreaking, I am so incredibly sorry. I can’t imagine what it’s like to experience loss so much later along. I hope that you can find some healing on these boards. Continue to lean on your Darling Husband, you guys will help each other get through this terrible time. And please don’t blame yourself, you did nothing wrong.

FreckledFox :  Yay ovaries! How was the first day of clomid?

MrsMellyBean :  So far so good!  🙂 I’m trying to drink lots of water and basically ignore it. I took it after dinner but before bed. How are you?

FreckledFox :  That’s great! Are you going to do anything to help with CM or just see how this cycle goes first? I’m good! I think I’m actually 2 dpo even though my OPK wasn’t fully positive on Monday! Woot!

Hi ladies, hope you don’t mind if I join. I’m currently TTC after an ectopic pregnancy in September/October. It was a long and very drawn out ordeal and now that I’m TTC again I’m nervous. Nervous about either not being able to get pregnant again & nervous about being pregnant and something bad happening. Any tips on how to deal with anxiety after a loss?

I’m currently 8/9 DPO and I’m overanazlying everything and completely consumed by this.

MrsMellyBean :  I have heard from clomid users to take mucinex or something. I wasnt sure if i should or not? I usually get a lot of CM lol so I was curious to know how much it would affect me. Are you taking anything? I forget if you mentioned that!

alaska_99705 :  I’m so sorry for your loss. The best thing I can tell you is what my Dr told me, “lightning probably most likely rarely strikes twice”… they cant tell you it wont happen again, but it will be okay next time. I’m sorry. The fear is overwhelming. I understand so well. We all do. <3 Hugs I have a plaque in my house hat just says “let your faith be bigger than your fear”. I got it when we started ttc again.

alaska_99705 :  Welcome & sorry for your loss. I have no experience with ectopics personally but they sound painful and scary so I’m sorry you had to go through that. I wish I had some good advice for dealing with the nerves/possibility of becoming pregnant after a loss but I too find it nerve-wracking and scary. FX that you get your BFP in a couple of days and you have an uneventful, easy pregnancy.

FreckledFox :  I noticed that it has really dried me out. I tried EPO which didn’t seem to do much and preseed. I think I may try mucinex next cycle if need be! Hopefully you won’t need to take anything!

Hi ladies. So it turns out that I am pregnant. I’m either 5 weeks or 5+1 today. yesterday I had a beta because of my ectopic last month and it was 500. The doubling time from 116 last Wednesday is 56 hours.

Does anyone have experience with lower than average hCG? I am worried that I’m heading towards a miscarriage.
