Soph45:  Lots of people do it. I don’t really think your reproductive system and your marital status are related?

🙂 I’m younger than you but we got married 2 and a half weeks ago and I’ve just gone off the pill. We’re hoping to have one before DH is 30 (he is 28)

Good luck! Xo

Soph45:  Start as early as possible. You never know how long it’ll take.

Soph45:  why are you concerned it might not work out? I assume you already live together? TTC can take a while as above.

When I had my IUD fitted at 26 the GP said I’ll probably want it out before the five years is up…she said it’s best to start trying sooner rather than later as you don’t know if you might have fertility issues before you start trying. I’m not trying to freak you out but it’s just a thought! It’s horrible though because it’s like we as women get to a certain age and then have to start counting backwards! But if you start trying as soon as you’re married there’s no harm in that so long as you’re both ready.

It depends on your BC too, though it doesn’t tend to take long for your cycle to go back to normal. Good luck!

I will be 37 when we get married next month, so Fiance and I are planning on starting TTC probably by February 2016. I’d rather enjoy some time just the two of us before we have kids, but due to my age I just don’t think we can wait.

When my Fiance and first started talking about marriage, he agreed to waiting a year after we got married (he wanted to start TTC straight after the wedding), which would be April 2017! But the baby fever has got me good and now i’ve brought it forward to Summer 2016 lol. Hell, i’d start now, but there are a lot of things we still need to sort out, namely the wedding and getting a home! I went off BC in June, moreso because it was messing up my system too much, and started taking vitamins. They aren’t prenatals, just vitamins. So just charting to TTA now (with condoms).

If we could move in together tomorrow, I would for sure bring TTC forward, there is absolutely nothing wrong with TTC straight after marriage, they even call it the honeymoon baby right?

Soph45:  I was 30 when we got married, we knew I had PCOS and that it might take some time so we started ttc right away.  Got pregnant 3 months after and had our twin girls shortly after my 31st birthday.  It took me a second to figure that out because I couldn’t remember how old I am right now…

Soph45:  We got married just about a year ago at ages 32 and 34 and stopped preventing as soon as I was done with the pill pack I was taking.  We’re still trying and ran into a few issues, but now that we have great doctors on our side, I’m hopeful it’ll happen soon for us!

Soph45:  we got married in June, and we decided a few months before the wedding that we were going start TTC immediately after the wedding because of my age too (just turned 34 a month before the wedding).  I thought we were destined to get pregnant immediately because my supposed fertile window was the same week we were getting married.  Well it didn’t happen that month or the next, but it finally happened in August.  I totally thought it was another failed month because i had no symptoms, but 3 days after my missed period I took a test and it was positive.  We’re so happy that it didn’t take us a long time to become pregnant.  I was super worried that I would have a hard time getting pregnant.

Soph45:  I am also 35 and got married in June. We started TTC in July when I finally got off the fence about it. So far, no luck, but I am staying positive. After all, who knows what the next cycle will bring? Third time’s the charm, right?

I’m 34 and DH43, we married 4 months ago. after got married I start taking prenatal + DHA (natural made) right away. result im 3 months preggo now.

What i realized after i got pregnant was after i took prenatal, i can see cervical mucus clear enough that i can compare with the chart on the internet. I would say prenatal helps me a lot.

Soph45:  Well I’m 30 and Fiance is 38. Getting married 07/07/17 and will TTC right away, first cycle after honeymoon (I wanna be able to have fun and havd a drink on my honey moon if I want to, so no honeymoon babies for us). We want to start right away cause I’ll be 32 and he 40 and we wanna have 2 kids before I’m 35-36. We both have no kids yet and never married so we gotta start and soon. I’m getting off the pill about 6 months before the wedding and we’re gonna use barrier methods, and I’ll start tracking my natural cycle and temps and all so have a good track record of it by the time we will TTC. I’m actually even thinking of getting off the pill now cause I’m just tired of the hormones,I don’t think they agree with my hody any more and I don’t feel lile trying a bunch of other pills. But I’m a little scared to rely on other methods for so long :/ gonna see my OBGYN to discuss if it’s worth putting in a copper IUD or something till the wedding so I can get off the pills now :/ idk
