I’ve had this issue forever, I bleed as soon as there is any funny business down there. My husband looks at me and I bleed.
You can read my last post to see the boo boo that I made by taking Vitex to “help” with this issue… Bad Idea. Bad MrsWagner.
If you don’t want to read it, basically, I’ve been off the pill since October 2012 was still bleeding after sex, took Vitex but made it worse (way worse). Stopped taking Vitex and made an appointment with a new doctor.
Well, I just went to the new doctor and followed your advice and didn’t tell her about my Vitex adventure since the issue was still there before I took it and there hasn’t been any spontaneous bleeding besides the sex bleeding after I stopped taking it so it looks like the Vitex effect went away and we are back to square 1: Bleeding During Intercourse.
She also told me “oh wow, you really do have a sensitive cervix. I barely touched it and you are bleeding”. I asked her if this would make it harder to conceive as in my head the blood would probably kill my husband’s swimmers. She said she wasn’t worried about it and to have sex every other day after the 10 day of my cycle and to keep track of the bleeding. If in 12 months I’m not pregnant and the bleeding gets worse then I should go back.
Anyone got pregnant with a similar issue?
I’m going to start tracking my temps as soon as get my period which is due this weekend. Oh bees, this is harder than I though 🙁

I used to have the EXACT same issue, and my OB/GYN actually had to freeze off some of the blood cells “down there” to get it to stop (which worked!). I asked her if it would affect TTC at all, and he said the two were in no way related….

I’m not pregnant yet (cycle 8!), but I also have a sensitive cervix :/ I always bleed during pap smears, and occasionally during sex. Pretty much any time my cervix is poked, it bleeds lol. My OB/GYN has never found anything abnormal and I haven’t had any excessive bleeding while TTC, just a little, so I can’t say whether or not it’s effecting our chances of conceiving.
We just added preseed to our TTC plan this month, if you’re concerned about sperm not finding it’s way up because your bleeding, maybe the preseed could help you too?

I’ve had issues too, the doc said they can do some procedure that will stop it but wont’ impact TTC. But then they did an ultrasound and found a benign polyp in my uterus that may have been causing it. Removed it via D&C. The bleeding came back, always mid cycle, turns out it was the drop in hormone levels and I went on Nuva Ring and it stopped. Now I’m off BC and TTC and the spotting is back. It’s infuriating. But now I think it’s a hormonal imbalance since the nuva ring stopped it and it’s only after ovulation that it’s an issue.
