As you can see from my previous posts, I’ve got baby fever. I’m nearly 30 and feel that it’s time. The problem is, I moved jobs (within the same company) about 4 months ago. New job is in a completely different department, and overall I’ve been with my current company for nearly 3 years.
I really like my job, it was sort of a promotion and would really like to go back to it after getting pregnant / going on mat leave (God willing!).
Question is: how early is too early for a (planned) pregnancy when you’ve started a new job?

I’m currently TTC and my contract at work is ending in 3 weeks, then I’ll be on the job search. I am just going to see what happens. I may end up looking for contract positions or temporary assignments, IF I get pregnant.

I wouldn’t plan my life arround a job. Jobs are a dime a dozen. You two expanding your family shouldn’t be held up by work. ((but that’s me)) that said we are waiting until I get my license before we ttc.

I got my current job in May, and we had started TTC in April. I got my BFP in Oct, and didn’t announce until DEc, when I had been here more than the 3 months required to become full time/pass my probation, and past the 12 week mark.
If you’ve been there 4 months, even if you got pregger this month, you would tell for another 3, so that would be 7 months in. Then you’ve got another 6 before going out on mat leave. I’m not sure if there are a required number of hours to qualify for FLMA (I’m in canada, we have to work 900 hours in general – not at our current employer- to qualify for government sponsered mat leave coverage).
I think you’re fine to start ttc now.

I started the TTC process before I even interviewed for the job I have (went off pill). I started the job at the end of September and just found out. It did happen a little sooner than we thought, but I know that everyone that I work with will be excited.

At my job when I started everyone joked about how many people got pregnant within the first year of being here…some people within months. LOL Didn’t happen for me though. Even though I wanted it to. LOL
