Hello lovely Bees!
Well I have a few questions I’m hoping some of you can help me with!? : ) I’ve been a pretty regular lurker of the TTC/infertility threads and I have learned quite a bit – Thank you ladies.
Well I’ll start with my husband and I have been TTC (but not officially) for two years now. Last October we met with my GYN for a pre-conception appointment and went over my concerns and made it known that we were officially TTC! I was “unofficially” diagnosed with PCOS 7 years ago. My PCOS was diagnosed because my periods were very irregular and my weight. I could go up to 6 months without a period. I have an appointment this month on the 12th and I’m definitely going to ask for her to confirm this by testing.
I started BC 6 months before the wedding because I didn’t want to walk down the isle 6 mos prego. During and after the BC my periods have been on point. AND I also know that I am ovulating! I’m one of the fortunate ones who feel ovulation pain! (Never thought I would say I was fortunate for that!)
So – here’s the question. At my preconception appointment my GYN mentioned that if we did not get a BFP by January she would start me on Clomid. Well no BFP, but I did decide to wait because again, I know I’m ovulating. So, when I go see her again on the 12th, I’m sure she will bring up the Clomid again. Isn’t Clomid supposed to help you ovulate? So if I were ovulating, would I need to take it? I’m one for not taking drugs unless its necessary and I’m worried of the side affects.
2nd question – I’ve been having a lot of pain in the uterus area mostly after ovulation until my period begins. I called my GYN and she scheduled an ultrasound. I got a reply back that my U/S was unremarkable…. well as I was there I noticed on the screen it said my lining was “thick.” Doesn’t a thick lining hinder TTC?
I know these are all questions I should be asking my GYN but sometimes I just feel she doesn’t quite take the time to explain things to me and just pushes things off. Just like I feel I have endometriosis, explains the sever pains and horrible periods, but she doesn’t want to do surgery because I’m “over weight.” But yet, I’ve had laparoscopic surgery before…???
If anyone could offer some advice and/or answers they would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks in advance! And sorry for the extra long post! : )
