So, you’ve only really been trying for a few months, and it’s completely normal for couples to take up to 6 months to conceive naturally…especially after just coming of BCP.

One thing you might want to try is taking your temperature and charting…or, using the ovulation prediction kits. They will at least help you know when you’re ovulating so you have a better shot at making something happen.

Try to keep your stress level low…it’s only been about two months, if that…understand that it might not happen right away. I don’t mean to scare you, but it took my Darling Husband and I 8 months to get pregnant with our first…and that was after being on BCP for 15 years!

There’s also a book that a lot of bees swear by, Taking Charge of Your Fertility, that might help you understand the whole process!

You could start charting your BBT & CM (you can set up a free profile on Fertility Friend) and also consider using ovulation predictor tests to pinpoint ovulation, so you are more likely to BD at the right times. I’ve heard Royal Jelly mentioned by bees as a helpful supplement. Try not to worry too much tho, it’s normal to take at least 6 months 🙂 Good Luck x

If you’ve only been off the pill since May, your cycle may not have regulated itself yet. Some people get pregnant right away after coming of BC, but many more don’t.  I would suggest reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility if you haven’t already.  Making Babies is also a great book, and goes more in depth into things like supplements and diet/lifestyle changes to help increase your fertility.

You’ve really only been trying for a cycle or two and it’s very common for couples to try for 6 months to a yaer before getting pregnant!

As somone else mentioned too, you body may not be regulated yet since you were on  the pill.

I very much recommend the book Taking Charge of your Fertility and signing up at Fertility Friend to track your cycles. That will really help you to pinpoint if and when you ovulate and what your most fertile days are.

Good luck! I hope you get your BFP soon!

@MrsG0616:  I know it’s hard but don’t stress out too bad yet. Late may means you’ve only been fertile once MAYBE twice and often the first little while of bcp is wonky. In fact my doctor wanted us using condoms from the time I went off the pill to getting a first natural Period, which might mean you’re only coming up on your first fertile period now. Just have fun having lots of sex for now, and worry about all these bother things in a few months.

@MrsG0616: I understand! I turn 30 in just over a month, and have been trying for about 6 months. But I’m positive & determined to enjoy every day, pregnant or not 🙂 It will happen for you, I’m sure.

@MrsG0616:  I turn 30 in November as well so I know how you feel. I feel like it needs to be done now! I would give it 6 months and then maybe see your Dr. and express your concerns. My Dr. didnt make me wait the full year like most do, because I expressed my concerns with my age. Hopefully your wait will be a short one, Good luck!
