My husband and I are about a year out from TTC. I would like some tips on what to do on the days leading up to us TTC. We have a few trips planned and I’ve started taking prenatal vitamins, is there any advice you have for to prepare for TTC or things we should do as husband and wife before we make the leap. Thanks in advance 🙂

We are also planning on TTC in about a year.
We have a trip to Hawaii planned for June.
I’m working on losing weight. And we both are focusing on eating healthier and exercising more.
Everything I’ve read says you don’t really need to start taking any prenatal vitamins more the 3-6 months out max.
I’m also reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility. Which is a very informative book even though at this point I’m not really planning on charting.

We’re not 100% sure when we will TTC yet but it will be in the next year I reckon, maybe even six months time.
Ive got a few things on my pre baby list: redecorate/ redesign walk in wardrobe (to create space!), save an extra 10k, various trips, triathlon, ski trip etc
We’re both into health and fitness anyway, but if you don’t already: quit smoking, cut down/out alcohol, eat healthily, exercise

It took me 2.5 years to get pregnant. From my experience I’d say just enjoy this time as just you two.
Once you do start TTC, have sex regularly and take away the contraception. If I had my time again I wish I’d not bothered with opks, temping, legs in air, special lubes etc.
Sad thing is, you don’t realise that until after you’ve experienced a long journey
