travelbee2017 :  thanks for reaching out. I’ve never heard of your blood clotting disorder. Is it similar to mine? My blood is too good at clotting, but I’m heterozygous with this mutation so it’s not as bad as it could be.

I’m seeing my OBGYN for a preconception meeting on the 13th of August to discuss my blood clotting disorder and how that will impact my pregnancy. I’ll likely need to get another blood screening done to look for MTFHR to see if I need to take Lovenox. I’ve been reading about moms that have used it on baby center per another Bees suggestion.

dtbm01 :  A thread I can join! Thanks for starting this – I was starting to feel weird about creeping the POAS threads 🙂

ROLL CALL!

TTC Start Month : December

Usual Cycle Length: 24-38 days

Cycles trying:

Baby #: 1

Age/SO Age: 30/32

BFP Plan: We had planned to start trying this summer, but life got in the way, so I’ve been taking prenatals for months already. I’m tracking, temping and using OPKs to see if I can figure out my cycle but trying not to go overboard about it.

Fears: I’m starting a new job this summer and I’m starting to worry about being stereotyped as a woman who went to work in government as soon as she wanted to have kids.

Excited for: Everything! I’ve been ready for kids for years.

Team Green?: I am, but my husband is very much not. We will definitely find out.

I can’t wait to get to know you guys better!

Hi ladies!!! I’m so happy that this exists!

ROLL CALL!

TTC Start Month : Technically NTNP next month, but actively trying in September 😊

Usual Cycle Length: while on iud, 28 days but I have a feeling my cycle will be wonky once I get this IUD out soon 😳

Cycles trying:

Baby #: 1

Age/SO Age: 26/27

BFP Plan: Both hubby and I been taking prenatals since beginning of June, I started practice with temping this month, I’ll start using OPKs once my IUD is out because, again, my system might be wonky. I just started a savings for labor/delivery because I already know it’s gonna be a bit pricey lol

Fears: My cycle taking too long to normalize/taking too long to O. Getting too obsessed with TTC. My biggest fear is actually telling my mom when I’m pregnant haha! Don’t know why I’m sure fearful of that lol I already told hubby once it happens, he’s gonna have to tell her LOL

Excited for: What am I not excited for!? (Well, except for unpleasant symptoms lol) can’t wait to have a belly, meet my baby and be a momma!

Team Green?: I WISH I had the patience to do so lol I freak out when my friends are pregnant and waiting for their babies’ genders lol I will probably look into elective early gender screening lol

TTC Start Month : September

Usual Cycle Length: 27-29 days

Cycles trying:

Baby #: 1

Age/SO Age: 32/32

BFP Plan: Cregtian charting. If that doesn’t work then more in depth charting with temperature.

Fears: Miscarriage. I don’t know how many losses I can handle and you will be more aware of them if you’re charting/testing.

Excited for: A baby.

Team Green?: I think this means finding out the gender? Then yes.

TTC Start Month: September will likely be my first month without birth control, so I guess we’ll technically be NTNP at that point, but I won’t worry about charting/temping/etc. for the first couple months.

Usual Cycle Length: I’ve been on the pill for about 5 years, but I recall my cycle being about 28 days on average before I started hormonal BC.

Cycles Trying: 0

Baby #: 1

Age/SO Age: 30/32

BFP Plan: I’ve been on prenatals since late last year. We weren’t sure exactly when in 2018 we’d start trying since it was tied to DH’s job situation, so I started early just in case! I talked to my midwife at my last well-woman appointment about our plans to conceive, so she made sure to go over any info she thought I should know. She tested me for the MTHFR gene a while back and it came back positive, so she has me on the Thorne brand prenatal. Darling Husband and I have both lost weight over the past year which I hope will help. If nothing else, we both have more (ahem) stamina than we did before!

Fears: Having unforeseen fertility problems or miscarrying. I’m also nervous because I’m a known carrier of a genetic disease that has a 25% chance of affecting the baby, so we’ll be having extra testing done early in the pregnancy to screen for it.

Excited For: Meeting the child I’ve been longing for for many years and getting to be a parent with my wonderful husband! I’m also super excited about the prospect of telling my Mother-In-Law that she’s going to be a grandmother, because she’s literally the sweetest person on the planet, will be an amazing grandma, and will undoubtedly be over the moon at the news!

Team Green: Nope! We’d want to know in any case, but it happens that the genetic issue I mentioned above is sex-specific (x-linked), so we plan to get the early screening blood test to find out the sex which will tell us if further testing is needed.

TTC Start Month: October

Usual Cycle Length: 27 days

Cycles Trying: 0

Baby #: 1

Age/SO Age: 30

BFP Plan: I’m taking prenatals and have been charting for a while to avoid. Since I’ve learned my cycle well and its regular I think I’ll take a break when we start trying, at least for a while.

Fears: As excited as I am about having a baby, I’m already terrified of the exhaustion of the newborn stage. I can’t even imagine what I’m in for!

Excited For: So many things! I’m excited to be pregnant and I hope I enjoy the experience though I know many do not. I can’t wait to meet and hold my baby. I also can’t wait to see my husband become a dad.

Team Green: Part of me thinks it would be fun to wait but I don’t have the patience!

Not sure if I’m in the right place for this yet. D.H. and I plan to discuss and most likely try in December. I have so much anxiety about this though that the thought of trying terrifies me a bit, so that’s why it’s not for sure in either of our heads.

TTC Start Month : December

Usual Cycle Length: 30 days

Cycles trying:

Baby #: 1

Age/SO Age: 28/30

BFP Plan: Go off BC once firm decision is made in December. Enjoy whatever happens for a few months, then start tracking and planning more actively. If after a year, there is no success, go to a fertility specialist and evaluate options.

Fears: I have PCOS and there are medical issues on both sides that could cause problems conceiving. I’m terrified that it won’t be possible for us and that I’ll feel guilty. Also worried about miscarriages and other possible health issues.

Excited for? Seeing my husband with a child. He’ll make a great father. One day baking cookies with my child; I love to bake.

Team Green?: Nope.

Yay thank you for starting this thread @dtbm01. I’ve already been stalking the POAS boards but its exciting to have somewhere to officially roll call!

ROLL CALL!

TTC Start Month : December

Usual Cycle Length: 30 days

Cycles trying:

Baby #: 1

Age/SO Age: 29/29

BFP Plan: I’m just reading TCOYF – wow how have I got to nearly 30 not knowing so much about my own body! I’ve just starting temping this month (and my cycle has gone a bit wonky at the same time, I think due to travelling and having a sickness bug) so will carry on with that over the months to get a better idea my cycle. I’ll probably start prenatals in a couple of months.

Fears: I’ve been lurking around on the TTC boards for about a month now and have learnt so much (thank you bees!). I think my biggest fear would be if it took us a long time and we weren’t sure why.

Excited for: Seeing my husband becoming a Dad for the first time – he is going to be amazing!

Team Green?: I would love to have a surprise but no idea if we would actually have the patience! My Mother-In-Law tells me the thing that kept her going through labour was having the last surprise… who knows!

Lovely to read all your stories ladies and excited for everyone! x

dtbm01 :  I like the idea of the technician putting it in an envelope. I wouldn’t do a gender reveal but I think it’d be a nice moment to read it ourselves once we’re home.
