Hi! Congrats on TTC!!!! Just a heads up–pregnancy symptoms don’t begin until HCG is well into your system, usually after 7-11 DPO. Also, pregnancy related nausea doesn’t typiclaly begin until 6 weeks. I’m pregnant with twins and didnt get it until at the tail end of 5 weeks! I also barely had any real pregnancy symptoms during the TWW. I am NOT trying to be a debbie downer but this is definitley something I wish people had told me during the long months of TTC! Your mind can play tricks on you and the progesertone your body releases every cycle anyways are identical to pregnancy symptoms. I’ve had so many mental pregnancies, I kind of wish someone had brought me back down to earth while TTC, lol.

FX for you though!!! Maybe you will be one of the lucky ones to conceive the first try!

EmmeW :  The first month we were open to being pregnant, but not really trying, I seriously was being “paranoid” about symptoms.  Then I read someone say if you’re pregnant enough to have symptoms, you’re pregnant enough to have a positive test.  I don’t know why that helped me so much!  But I’m glad it was out there (probably here on the Bee).  So while I’m looking for symptoms still this time around, the grounding reality of it would be too early to really have symptoms has made it a lot less stressful for me!  So I guess I wanted to say I’m glad you commented that because I would have wanted to know that myself just as recently as last month!

deedee2016 :  I completley understand! Symptom spotting is killer! Ironically, the month we found out we were pregnant w/ twins was the month I was convinced I wasn’t pregnant from lack of my usual “symptoms”. It just goes to show it can truly go one way or the other but it helps to take a step back and ignore those “symptoms” until you can test or your period is late ๐Ÿ™‚ that is the advice I wish someone had given me!

I also didn’t have any symptoms the month we conceived…sure, there are a few things I could look back and say “OK, I guess that was this happening”, but overall I was not expecting a positive test.  I will say that around 6 or 7 dpo I noticed the tiniest bit of spotting, which I suppose was implantation.  I also noticed that I was really hungry around 11 dpo.  Maybe related, maybe not.  But you’ll drive yourself crazy with all the symptom spotting- this totally could be your month, but for now just relax with a good book or some netflix and enjoy a glass of wine until that stick says positive!  ๐Ÿ™‚

happyandhealthy19 :  Best of luck!!! Like other posters have said, even if you do conceive this month, these “symptoms”  would not be pregnancy symptoms since it would be way too early, just effects of changing hormones after ovulation. So nothing to do with TTC but still relating to your fertility! Progesterone rises after you ovulate. Progesterone is also high in early pregnancy, which is why PMS symptoms/post-ovulation symptoms are the same as early pregnancy ones. Anyway, good luck!

The only symptom I had was some very light cramps from about 10dpo – I just thought my period was starting. Otherwise felt totally normal. Actual pregnancy symptoms didn’t kick in for a week or two afterwards.

happyandhealthy19 :  I’m 5 and a half weeks right now and I conceived on our first cycle TTC so it’s definitely possible! Also, wanted to tell you that I got my VERY faint BFP at 9 DPO so there’s a chance you could get a + even this early. I know lots of people don’t like to test early, but I couldn’t wait!

I didn’t have any symptoms during the TWW other than my normal AF symptoms. I still don’t really have much going on now aside from sore breasts and some fatigue.

Fingers crossed for you!
