Im sooooo happy you posted this question as i’m in the same situation. I’m thinking that i wont say anything because i dont want to jinx anything. If closer to the wedding the dress looks horrible (because I am G-d willing, pregnant) I will talk to the bride

Sometimes getting pregnant can take a lot longer than you think so don’t borrow trouble! EBay has lots of David’s Bridal dresses if say you do get pregnant and need a bigger size. Keep in mind you won’t show a bump sometimes for about 4 months.

Good idea. I didn’t tell her we were trying, but that if my hubs was wanting to I wouldn’t say no 😉 Although, clearly, he is on board.
Totally. I don’t have to order until October so hopefully I’ll know by then. I think if we don’t get pregnant by then we will wait another year…I don’t really know though.

I think that’s a fine compromise. When I was getting married, I really appreciated that two of my bridesmaids let me know that they were trying and then when their due date was, just for logistical planning purposes. I knew they weren’t really “public” about either at the time they told me and so I kept it to myself and didn’t bring it up with them, unless they did. But it helped me plan things.

Another thing just to throw in the mix, when you do order your dress. Order it online, ti turn around time was a week a most for my Bridesmaid or Best Man who ordered hers online vs. the other girls 8 weeks or more to get theirs!

My bridesmaids got their dresses from David’s (ordered online), and they had the dresses in hand a little over a week from ordering! It’s possible less common styles/colors might take longer, but it could be that fast. I think David’s official timframe to order bridesmaid dresses is 6-8 weeks.

I would wait until I was pregnant then tell her right away, if you get pregnant right away, you’ll be 9 months pregnant when she gets married.
