I’ve always heard to lay with your hips on a pillow and your knees to your chest for 20 minutes. I think it’s inevitable for some to make it’s way back out.

I am now a little over 8 months pregnant and I always go to the bathroom and shower after we BD. For me it didn’t make a difference!

Don’t worry it leaves out of everyone! Some people say to lie still with your hips raised up, others say it doesn’t matter. I always go to the toilet immediately after we DTD and we are expecting our first child in just over 9 weeks.

2YorkiesMama:  i would elevate my hips as high as possible when I told my OB about this she said it dkesnt make a difference whether or not you elevate your hips. If you watch a video on how sperm reaches the egg, it is true, elevating your hips is pointless. Lol

It makes ABSOLUTELY no difference if you elevate your hips. The force of the ejeculation pushes the sperm where it needs to go. Whatever fluid leaks out after is unnecessary. As to your question about sperm count, sperm count is calculated by counting the number of spermatozoa in a milliliter of ejaculate. generallt that number is in the MILLIONS… That’s why theres more than enough to get the job done. You can have sex standing against a wall, as long as he ejeculates inside your vaginal canal…you’re good to go 😉

    Springtimefever:  Same here! Lol.

I’m pretty sure it is normal! I’ve seen the spermy video and like PP said the ones who make it are shot up there to start the obstacle course, the ‘left overs’ aren’t necessary.

Tilting your hips up makes no difference except to maybe delay all the ejaculate from eventually sliding out again. By the logic that you are helping the sperm swim up aren’t you preventing the egg from traveling down the Fallopian tube by your body position? It certainly won’t hurt anything, but it’s not helping either.

I am a bit confused, did you expect that your uterus magicalky absorbs all the sperm? Do you know how many millions of sperms are released per ejaculation??? I mean if you think that tilting will help get you pregnant you probaly also think that tilting your hips down is a form of birth control? Sorry, but you should really know a bit more about yor body and how TTC works at this stage in your life…
