Alright ladies, I just wanted to briefly post my game plan for this second month of TTC. I always wanted to thank you guys for all that you’ve taught me this past month! Seriously, I have stalked these TTC boards and learned SO much. I feel like I didn’t even understand my body or pregnancy prior to that! So THANKS!
Anywho this is the game plan. If you have any other suggestions I would LOVE to hear them. Team baby over here is up for anything!
-Taking prenatals and now adding vitamin C and fish oil (I read vitamin C is great for fertility)
-Using fertility friend to chart (along with my previous app ovia)
-Temping this time around + OPKS (and I’m using the 20 strip kind, my cycle appears to be 25-26 days, any tips on when to begin using them?)
-BD during the fertile window eod.
-Eating healthier, and am also decreasing caffiene and alchohol consumptions (mostly just to get ready!)
Also I would LOVE to hear from anyone who got prego on their second (or third) month trying. What did you do differently if anything?
Thanks ladies!

I’m in exactly the same boat at you @preppysouthernbride! This will be our second try and I’m planning on doing pretty much exactly what you’re planning to do. Last month I did OPKs, prenatals, fish oil, BD eod, cut out alcohol and caffiene and ate healthier. This month I’m adding in temping & charting. Good luck to you!!!! Hopefully we’ll both get lucky this month!

preppysouthernbride: We’re on cycle two too! Currently 8 dpo. Planning to test Saturday. Good luck! No real advice. Just trying to not get too worked up if it doesn’t take the first few months.

My cycles are also 25-26 days; I started using my OPKs on the 7th or 8th day after the first day of my period. I figured with a short cycle, sooner was better (though I didn’t get positive OPKs until day 12/13).
I got pregnant on the second cycle. On the first cycle I did prenatals and digital opk tests – I had two days with positive OPKs – BD’d both days. Nonetheless, AF came two weeks later.
The second go-round I added temping and Fertility Friend to my previous regimen. We ended up BD’ing the day before the OPK gave the go-ahead, and again on the day of the first positive. It was kinda cool because I could see that my temps of FF corresponded with the OPKs. Twelve days after ovulation, I got a BFP.
I dunno if our change in timing or my heightened awareness of my fertility signals helped out…or maybe it was just luck!

preppysouthernbride: I got pregnant on cycle 4 of TTC. What I had done differently that cycle was 1) lowered alcohol consumption and 2) stopped caffeine consumption. I was already taking prenatals, eating pretty healthy/clean/whole foods, and charting.
If it didn’t happen that cycle, I was going to add OPKs.
interestingly, we only BDed on O or O-1 (I’m not 100% sure of O date, but it was one day or the other). Also, we hadn’t BDed in over a week, since there was a mix up of my temps, and we thought we were past O. So less stress, too?
