So I am wondering…how old are you? 26

How old is your FI? 26

What is your TTC timeline, and why? We where just discussing this the other day. Orginally we where gonna wait a couple of years buy a house and get settled first. But now I think we are thinking more like a year or maybe less after we are married. I mean we are in a apartment right now, but more then enough room for a baby as well. Personally I think it would be easier to have a toddler while looking for and buying a house then me being pregnant and doing it with a set time table.

Do you feel unspoken pressure from others?  My mother said to me the other day that she could see us with a baby this time next year. My older sister had her first at 24 and now has a five and two year old and she just turned thirty. I mean I’m two years older then her when she had her first and havn’t even started trying yet. Fiance and I both really want kids so its hard. The resposible part of me wants to wait but the other part of me screams just do it. LOL

I am 27 and Darling Husband is 29. We JUST started TTC. We wanted to wait several years, and have now been married 2.5 years. We told everybody from the beginning that we would be waiting about 5 years so there hasn’t really been any pressure. A few comments about grandkids, but nothing really agressive. Unspoken pressure? Yes, absolutely. It comes with the territory 🙂

Scribbles… I am so sorry. I know nothing we say here will come close to helping, but you and your family are in my thoughts. ((hugs))

@Mrs. Jaguar:

@missrain:

Thanks so much guys – although some people might perceive it as bad luck, we’re planning on going out on one of my days off (have dialled back my teaching to four days a week until she passes) and shopping for a maternity outfit and a baby outfit, things that she would have bought for me if she had been around. It’s hard not to tear up when typing it but I know it will be really special to use those things when the time comes, knowing that my mum put so much thought into buying them for me.

@sweetmamam:  I think it’s a beautiful idea – something super special to put away for when the time comes. I love it. 🙂

How old are you? 24… Almost 25

How old is your DH? 30… almost 31

What is your TTC timeline, and why? We started TTC right after the wedding 3/30. I won’t finish my degree until 11/4/2014 which is not ideal but Darling Husband is feeling the pressure! haha We currently rent our home(with the option to buy) but think we should wait awhile to save more for a bigger home… my degree will help with that too :)and we both have good jobs. While I don’t feel the timing is perfect, I don’t think it ever will be. I also have some issues that would possibly make it difficult but won’t know until we try!

Do you feel unspoken pressure from others? My Darling Husband feels it more than me I think. Most of his friends have kids while most of mine don’t. Our family I know would love to see another baby around. And of course everytime we go somewhere people wait to see if I order a glass of wine to be able to tell if I’m pregnant.
