From what I can find online, the manufacturer’s package insert recommends avoiding pregnancy for 3 months following receipt of varicella vaccine and the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommend that pregnancy be avoided for 1 month.

That said, if you’ve had chicken pox already AND had a booster, I’d be really surprised if your titers came back negative.  I doubt you’ll need the varicella vaccine.

My doctor never seemed concerned with chicken pox, but most doctors recommend getting the TDAP (diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis) . You have to wait 3 months after the shot before getting pregnant but if you don’t get it before you will not be able to get the shot until after the baby is born.

@MarieBelle:  Rubella (in an MMR) is very important prior to pregnancy. That’s another you should discuss!
