@funkyone8604:  There are tons of ladies with PCOS here 🙂 have you read Taking charge of your fertility? Have you thought about charting your basal body temperature or using ovulation predictor kits?

@funkyone8604:  Before fertility medications, docs usually want you to try weight loss and TTC for at least six months before they do that, unless you do not menstruate for mormother 3 months, then they usually induce a period with Provera.

Good luck! 🙂 I started Serophene today… same thing as Clomid (I think)… but helps to make the cycle 28 days instead of 45-60…

  • Wedding: April 2011

In April 2011 I starting having issues with ovarian cysts.  In August 2011 I had a large (dr said it was the size of my husband’s fist, he’s 6’3”…) dermoid cyst on the right removed, I also had 2 small fluid filled cysts on the left but they were not removed.  In April 2012 I started missing periods again and went back to the doctor, she found another dermoid on the left side and 2 smaller fluid filled cycts on the right and diagnosed me with PCOS.  We started rotating birth control pills to try and shrink the cysts and Clomid to help with ovulation since we were hoping to start a family/hoping the cysts would flush out with my periods.  In September I changed doctors. The new doctor wanted to be more aggressive so we finished my last round of Clomid (#3) in September and did an HSG test in early October to make sure my tubes were clear.  She wanted us to start IUI in November if we hadn’t conceived on our own.  Hubby went to have his sperm tested, 155 million!  He was pretty proud of himself, and we knew he wasn’t the problem.  My doctor warned me that it’s pretty common to conceive right after an HSG test since it can clear out anything blocking your tubes.  We conceived the next cycle, October 25th!  No meds, no IUI, just us!
