I’m not having a hard time working out, but I agree it helps so much with stress!  I play soccer twice a week, but I really want to get into a bigger yoga habit.  I think it would help so much!

I’m joining a yoga studio tomorrow for their Saturday morning beginners class. I haven’t worked out much this week, but will go to dancing with my husband, so it burns off a few calories in the process. Friday, I’ll probably go to the gym before trimming the tree and drinking cocoa with my husband.

This is an awesome thread! I’m trying to lose 10 more lbs before my next doctor’s appointment on 12/21 and would love some mutual support! So far, i am doing some free weights on my lunch break in my living room and i’m going to try to hit Zumba twice next week! (Tues and Wednesday!)

like this thread!

i worked out a lot before the wedding and then just stopped. i thought i would just enjoy newly-weds life for a while and somehow that didn’t include working out. i got so cought up in the process of TCC that i forgot about the rest of my life. this past month i’ve started my workout routine again which includes heading to the gym twice a week and i also attended a yoga beginners workshop and have been to yoga 3 times a week since. i must say yoga seems to be great for me while TCC. i love it! i’ve never taken a drop in temp or the ugly face of AF as calm as i’m doing it right now. Darling Husband also thinks that i’m much more relaxed – so he loves it too.

Thanks for starting this thread!

We’re not TTC just yet (but I will be taking my last BC pill in January!) I run a lot and I’ve slowly gotten Darling Husband into running with me. I’ve already started the worrying when it comes to TTC and “shaking things lose.” But I do get cranky and stressed when I don’t work out, so I think I will continue while TTC. Since its starting to get colder and I’m a wimp when it gets below 50 degrees, I’ve asked for a gym membership in our new town for Christmas. I used to go to the gym a lot before we moved and I really miss it.

@ecomaha: No.  I wouldn’t worry at all during the TWW.  BEing healthy is the most important and the baby doesn’t have a heart to speed up at that point.  Implantation doesn’t even finish until near the end of the TWW.

Love this thread!! I am in the TWW right now and have been too paranoid to go to the gym.  For example I wanted to do pilates yesterday but had read somewhere that certain positions might be bad during TWW?  I don’t 100% believe that but I didn’t want to chance it.  Plus I feel really run down and crampy.  This is my first ever “real” TWW since coming off BC and seeing a positive on an OPK, so I KNOW this level of being careful will not stick around in this process!  Next cycle I probably will continue at the gym as usual during tww if this isn’t a bfp.  I miss running!

Great thread.  I’m trying to get back into working out.  I’ve been off a regular schedule for about a year.  I use to go to the gym and yoga.  Yoga 3x a week w/ the gym 2x.  I was insanely in shape.  Well, w/ injuries and just getting old as well as our wedding, I’ve been sitting on my bum.  I’m working to get back to yoga a min of 2x a wk and then a dance class sprinkled in.  Need to keep my body guessing.

@ecomaha:

Yes, thanks for starting this tread! πŸ™‚ I would like to join you ladies. Fairly new poster, have been a ‘lurker’ mostly. So posting like this is a new experience for me.

I will be taking my last BC  pill in January so I have been on a a very healthy streak for some time now – trying to do everything correctly, eat enough veggies/fruit and drink enough water is a big challenge for me. Also going to the gym and having a regular fitness routine is challenging, mainly because of how busy our life is …but I am definitely motivated….!

My days are very busy and I find unless I get up early and do the gym in the morning I don’t have the time the rest of the day. Or I go to the gym at 7-8 pm and then I find myself staring at the ceiling at midnight, still trying to fall asleep because I so pumped!!!

Only problem is I am not a morning person! really not. ha ha ha

Just last week I attended a time management workshop based on Brian Tracy’s book called EAT THAT FROG. In it he says that you should always do the most unpleasant/hardest thing first in the morning – that is your ‘frog’ – so eat your frog first thing in the morning. I was also given a little quilted frog at the workshop, as a reminder πŸ™‚ and I put it by my alarm clock – a reminder that I need to do this – – – so far it has worked for me.

I ordered  the  ’30 day shred’ and the 6 pack in 6 weeks from Jillian – seems to be the popular choice. πŸ™‚

Should we do weekly updates/summaries of workouts and healthy/unhealthy food choices? I am thinking a short summary of your choices for the previous week, what were you happy with and what were you unhappy with? Just to be more accountable πŸ™‚

My plan for this week is to do at something challenging at least 5 days a week and watch my veggie/fruit and water intake.

I’ll be back with an update next week.

Sorry this post is  so long!
