Hi fellow TTCers,
I just wanted to share a couple of fertility-related podcasts that I like and have found helpful. I have long commutes, and I’ve been able to use some of this time to increase my knowledge about this area.
Fertility Friday Radio — Lots of information about the Fertility Awareness Method, as well as other relevant topics like nutrition, PCOS, and more. The first few episodes are great for someone who is new to charting and/or hasn’t had time to read Taking Charge of Your Fertility.
How to Get Healthy and Get Pregnant — Fertility info from a Chinese medicine perspective, which is something I didn’t know much about before.
As a disclaimer, I don’t necessarily agree with/endorse every single thing these ladies say, but when it comes to TTC, I am of the mindset that, the more info, the better! On the whole, I have learned a lot from each of these podcasts. I listen to them using the My Podcasts app on my iPhone.
Does anyone else have any podcasts, or other TTC resources, that they would recommend?
I hope this may be helpful to some of you! Babydust to all.

ladycomfypants : These are not North American based, but I have enjoyed a few episodes of “The Fertility Warriors Podcast” (australian) and “The Fertility posdcast” (from UK). I also like “the birth hour” even though it’s not ferility related, it’s nice to hear how different everyone’s journey is!

SeaOfLove : It’s crazy, I listened to the first one so far and nothing. I did disagree with some of it (more of what the doctor said) and so far I did laugh and agree with some of it. Its amazing how different each clinic is and how they do things different. I havent gotten to listen to the second one since I just started listening to it yesterday. Part of me wants to avoid it just because of going through this, but the other part wants to know what I am getting into. What would you do?

mama2bee71 : The IVF situations discussed in later episodes are some of the worst case scenarios. If you can do research on the topic and realize that there are more successful cases than unsuccessful, then you would be strong enough to listen. I will tell you there is a happy ending to the series 🙂

SeaOfLove : Okay so I will continue to listen. I know are chances so I have been making peace with everything incase IVF does not work for us. EVeryones situation is different so I wouldn’t base theirs on my own. I just didnt want to hear something that would scare me off. I think its great that they did the podcast because stuff like that awakens the eyes of what women go through.

mama2bee71 : It helped me a lot to understand women in different positions than myself. Best of luck with your IVF! I’m rooting for a successful treatment for you and your DH!

SeaOfLove : I just finished it. I am happy they had a happy ending but I am now terrified over this. Everything seemed good, but really just 1 made it two times. Oh man, that really breaks your heart.

mama2bee71 : Right? The money, the time, the misleading diagnoses… I hope yours goes much more smoothly than that. Have you looked into any local support groups for infertility?
