I have glass doors that the previous owners put in. They also installed this tasteless pink tile too. I have a curtain rod above the shower, and a cloth shower curtain that hangs in front of the door to hide the tile…. Which also hides the doors and tub, so if I slack on cleaning nobody is the wiser (well, except DH and the kids).
Pretty much like this.

Where we live we have VERY hard water and it was a pain in the ass to keep the build up off the glass ones we had where I lived growing up. That and no privacy. I would prefer DH not watch me try to shave my lady garden while he brushes his teeth lmao. And I would feel like I needed to remove all my soaps etc. If guests were going to be in there because it would look messy. Whereas with a shower curtain I just close it. I use a cheap clear liner and then whatever fun curtain I want. When the line gets dirty I just buy a new one or toss the other in the washer (sometimes that will refresh them). They are only like $5.

out of curiosity, do you have a picture of the type of doors you would consider? I wouldn’t want sliding glass doors, and I’m not super thrilled about having an open shower, so I’m wondering what other options are out there!

that’s kinda neat looking! I don’t think this would be a good solution for us as if I’m going to spend the $$$ on the glass, I’d want to see it. But if the doors were already there I kinda like that! We also had pink tile (all along the walls as well as in the shower 🙄) that we did the tile paint over. Well three years later its coming off and is just driving me crazy.
that’s one of my biggest concerns is I’m not going to change out my containers to nice ones or hide whatever is in my shower. I also do enjoy changing out my shower curtain for each season 😝 but the glass is so pretty! Sigh. I think it might be one of those things that are nice at other people’s houses and hotels but not practical for our every day life
