Following as I have my eye on a tulle dress but am also concerned about the bustle. Hopefully people will post pics soon 🙂

I don’t have a great photo but I had a fit-to-flare/mermaid with a dupioni silk base layer and a tulle/lace overlay. What my seamstress did was to do a french under bustle for the base layer (just one button/hook) and then a single point over bustle for the tulle layer. I had just a couple buttons that I had put on the back down to my waist and the loop for the over bustle just attached to the bottom button.

I dislike the look of an under bustle but the tulle completely hid it and both were the perfect length.

bustle! it ended up being 7 points i believe. i have not gotten it altered yet though. this is just pinned.
